During the funeral, Defense Minister Yoav Galant paid tribute to him and said with great excitement:

"We are saying goodbye to one of the most prominent officers of the IDF. Dexa, fought with a single tank in the Second Lebanon War and rescued soldiers, and on October 7 organized a combat team to protect the residents of the State of Israel. Ahsan's story is an example and a model for IDF commanders.

Hamas has ceased to function as an organized military body, and is focused on terrorist operations and survival. Hezbollah was dealt a heavy blow and its ability to be an effective tool in the hands of Iran was severely damaged. We will complete the task of answering Ahsan's bread and answering it, we will return to the citizens of Israel the security they deserve and we will return the abductees and the abductees held in Gaza."

Even during the painful situation, Rafik Halavi, head of the Dalit Al-Karmel local council, also paid tribute to him, saying with great pain:

"We gave ours to the state and now the time has come for the state to embrace its sons - not with lip service or pleasant words. Replace the nationality law, and not with disparaging and hurtful bills. Let us build the new Israel together, Israel is a home that urgently needs renovation."

Following the incident of the late Sedaka's fall, IDF spokesman Brigadier General Daniel Hagari said in his statement:

"Ahsan took command of the 401st Brigade four months ago. He led the fighting in Tel Sultan in Rafah when he took office, and commanded the brigade in the defeat of the Hamas battalion. He led the encirclement of the area and the elimination of many terrorists, which apparently prevented the escape of Sinwar until he was eliminated ".
