(haipo) - Alexey Popov who, as I recall, was killed two days ago (19/10/24) by shrapnel from a rocket while in his car, was laid to rest today. Family members and relatives accompanied him on his last journey.
During the funeral, an alarm began to sound in the area of the cemetery, which forced those present to hurry and enter the protected area.

The Haifa and Kiryat area received heavy shelling from Lebanese territory last Saturday. In one of the barrages towards the Kiryats, around 12:30, Alexey was hit. He was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition and within a short time the doctors had to pronounce him dead. His friend, who was sitting next to him in the car, was apparently able to bend down and thus his life was saved.
The funeral of Alexei, who immigrated from Ukraine 5 years ago, was held today (Monday) with the participation of relatives, family members and other people who came to honor him on his last journey.
