Daksa, was born and raised in the settlement of Dalit El Carmel. Enlisted in 2001 in the Armored Corps. In the Second Lebanon War, he served as a company commander in the 75th Battalion of the 7th Brigade and commanded an armored force that was attached to the Paratroopers Brigade and was involved, among other things, in rescuing casualties.
During the battle of Ayita al-Sha'ab he identified a source of fire that hit a force of paratroopers, Dexa entered the village with his tank alone, worked to hit the source of fire and evacuate the casualties. For his work, Otar Bezalesh was awarded a colonel from the commander of the Northern Command. In 2012, he was appointed deputy commander of the 77th battalion. In 2014, he was appointed a commanding officer of the 7th brigade.
In 2016, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel and appointed commander of the 82nd battalion. He commanded the battalion during the clashes on the border of the Gaza Strip in 2018. In September 2018, he was appointed commander of the 532nd battalion in the 460th brigade. In 2019, he was appointed the operations officer of the Northern Command. In August 2021, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel and appointed commander of the Golan formation. In August 2023, he finished his position and moved on to study at the National Security College.
In July 2024, he completed his MA studies at the University of Haifa, as part of the MBL (National Security College) program in strategy and national security studies.
Upon completion of his MA studies, on June 25, 2024, in the midst of the Iron Swords War, Dexa was appointed commander of the 401st Brigade in place of Bnei Aharon. The brigade under his command led countless activities inside Gaza and is even today a significant part of the spearhead of the IDF in attack and defense.
On October 20, 2024, he was killed in a battle in the Gaza Strip by an explosive device near the tank in which he was in Jabaliya.
In the battle in which the late Col. Ahsan Daksa fell, a combat officer from the 52nd battalion, modeled 'Akbot Barzel' (401), was seriously injured. The wounded man was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and his family was informed.
The late Ahsan was a beautiful man - a gentleman, a humble and quiet man, pleasant in his ways. Brave and a beloved son of the State of Israel. A difficult loss for the family, the wonderful Druze community, and the entire nation of Israel.
It should be noted that Daksa is the most senior officer to have been killed since the beginning of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip alongside Col. Yitzhak Ben Bashet, after three other generals were killed in battle on October 7.
The head of the council Deliat Al Carmel Rafik Halavi paid tribute to him this evening:
"Daliyat al-Karmel wears black, how heroes have fallen. With sorrow, pain and much sorrow, the Daliyat al-Karmel, the IDF, the Druze community and the State of Israel say goodbye to one of its heroes. Today Col. Ahsan Daksa fell in Gaza - a hero, brave, a warrior who became a legend, humble, who fought since the beginning of the war. I heard the cries of his little children when the news was heard and I was devastated. We will perpetuate his memory."
State President Yitzhak Herzog said upon the death of the late Dexa:
"Together with the entire House of Israel, I received with sorrow and pain the bitter news about the fall of the 401st Brigade, the late Col. Ahsan Daksa, who fell today in the battles of Jabaliya. Ahsan - a hero of Israel, a brave, humble and noble warrior - and his fall is a loss to the State of Israel and the entire Israeli society. I salute him and hug his family, the settlement of Dalit al-Karmel and our sisters and brothers from the Druze community who have lost many precious sons since the beginning of the fighting with dedication, a sense of mission and shared destiny. May his memory be blessed."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid tribute to the late hero of Israel Ahsan Daxa and said:
"Today, the commander of the 401st Armored Brigade, the late Col. Ahsan Dexa, fell. Ahsan was an Israeli hero, a fighter and a commander - a role model for the alliance of life with the Druze community. He chose to invest all of his heart in the security of Israel and its citizens.
I would like to send my condolences to his wife Huda and his children Omri, Rif and Yasmin. We all pray for the peace of our wounded heroes. From the first day of the terrible massacre of October 7, the 401st Armored Brigade fought and stopped the onslaught of the terrorists with its body. From then until today, it is on the attack to eliminate Hamas and the Sabbath, our abductees.
Under the command of Major General Ahsan, the fighters and commanders of the brigade showed offensiveness, striving for victory - and above all - bravery. Their mission is the mission of all of us: to eliminate Hamas, to return all our abductees, to return our residents in the north and south safely to their homes. This is the will of our heroes, this is our mission. Let it be remembered that we fell blessed and will always be in our hearts."

Alsan version.
May the memory of Col. Assam be blessed. Al Carmel medal version.
Shares in the grief of the Druze community and the grief of the family, may his memory rest in peace.
My heart aches for every soldier and for the Druze community that sacrifices its best buildings. I have no words for how much I appreciate and respect and here is another of your angels who fell as a hero 🇸🇨🇮🇱😭😭
It is very sad that the officer with the highest training in the army was killed. The officer stepped forward from his soldiers. He is a hero of Israel with the Al Carmel Daxa Ahsan medal. Really heartbreaking.
We are saddened by the passing of the late Ahsan Daksa.. First of all, a humble and honorable person...
A great soldier... a great warrior... may his memory be blessed..
😢😢😢
After a year of fighting are there more battles in Jabaliya?
The IDF is covering up the truth about what is happening in Gaza - it is permissible to ask.
Why not completely evacuate the Gaza Strip, humanitarian and close it as a closed military area.
Every population there will be a basis for the reconstruction of Hamestan. There must be a clear lesson for once.
Gaza must be an empty area - later it will be used for infrastructure for Israel and the PA cities such as desalination, refineries, gas, an airport. They must not be allowed to rehabilitate Hamastan in any way and the only way to prevent this is to move the population from there. Even so, without employment here there is no Gaza economy.
We must stop the games and close Gaza.
A very big loss!!
how long? King of the land, my heart aches for another bereaved family, orphaned children 💔 may his memory be blessed forever 🙏
