On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the musician Israel Kot from Haifa managed to capture with his camera a rare and exciting moment in the sky of the city - a dove in flight, and in the background explosions of an iron dome that protects the residents. The image, which appears to be a visual illustration of the struggle for peace and security, manages to combine the contrast between the dove, the symbol of eternal peace, and the protection required in difficult times.
In this special moment, the dove is seen floating peacefully in the blue sky, while in the background the "clouds" of the explosions created by the iron dome express the complex reality in which we live. Kot, through his artistic eye, managed to capture the meeting between the silence in June and the complex security reality around us.
This picture, made out of a sense of hope and aspiration for peace, is a reminder that even in difficult times, we look for the moments of peace and security, which will come and become a daily reality.
We all continue to pray for peace and security, and for the quick return of all the abductees to their homes.
Excellent article for you my friend Uri Sharon
happy Sukkot holiday
Note that the explosions look like the symbol - the yellow pin of the return of the abductees
Beautiful picture, absurd description.
The pigeon really, really didn't fly here peacefully but, as doves do, it was very frightened by the noise of the explosion and fled helplessly.
The thought that after thousands of years of religious war and after 7/10 people still talk about peace is also unfounded. A delusion that only we hear.
With them there can only be temporary ceasefires between waves of wars.
It is possible that the meaning is a longing for peace within us. Amen.
From my acquaintance of the woman for many years - Israel Kot is a rare man with an extra soul.
He was my music teacher.
Wonderful photography. Send to the competition! to the world press. Illustrates our life here.
A beautiful description of an image that conveys cautious optimism for the future.
I had a music teacher in the seventies in elementary school with a name like that - Israel Kot, I wonder if it's the same person...
My dear Hagit, indeed, yes, I am the same Israel Kot
who was a music education teacher for about 40 years in elementary schools in Haifa and north of Haifa. "Plead guilty"!
Nice that you remember! (moved me very much!).
Indeed, yes! "It" is the same person! I am the man - admitting guilt!
