As part of the "Emergency Stop" operation held in the Coastal District, the officers of the Nesher station, in cooperation with YSM Carmel fighters, Kalvan and the Penalty Center, carried out an operational operation in Dalit al Carmel. The purpose of the operation was to act against crime targets, to seize illegal weapons and to thwart offenses in the public space.
During the search of a residence in the village, a Glock pistol, a cartridge full of bullets and ammunition in packages were found. In addition, tens of thousands of shekels in cash were discovered, which are suspected to originate from criminal activity.
The owner of the house, 58 years old, and his two sons, 20 and 26 years old, were arrested and brought to the police station for questioning. At the end of the investigation, the father was sent to house arrest and his two sons were imprisoned. The police are expected to request the extension of their detention depending on the progress of the investigation.
The weapon was transferred to the forensic laboratories of the Israel Police for investigation and extraction of evidence.
