(live here during wartime) – This morning (Monday, 14/10/24, at 9:32) alarms were heard throughout Haifa and the region. About ten missile launches were detected from Lebanese territory, most of them were intercepted by the air defense systems, one fall was detected in an open area. However, fragments of an interception fell a few meters from the residential building of Kiryat Hased, where the "Warm House for Holocaust Survivors" of the "Yad Ezer Hebev" association is located. Fortunately, the incident ended without casualties.

The founder and CEO of the association, Shimon Sebag, said:
"An interception fragment fell very close to the hot house of the Holocaust survivors. Happily, only two months ago we finished the construction of the new medical center in the building, which helped to reduce the feeling of anxiety. The survivors were in the hospital during the alarm, which gave them a sense of security."

Dr. Isabella Greenberg:
"The survivors experienced the event in a tangible way this time, because they witnessed the fall of the rock during their exit from the dining room. After a stay of about ten minutes in the MMD, the staff returned them to their rooms and are now reassuring them personally."
The association "Yad Ezer Heber" continues its activities for the residents of the north and the survivors of the Holocaust, and invites the public to lend a hand.
Now, more than ever, it is our duty to be united and help each other. Only in unity will we win.
