(haipo) - Today (Kippur, 12/10/24) at noon, an emergency occurred in the port of Haifa, when a 39-year-old mechanic on board the ship MSC ASLI was found unconscious. Thanks to the quick and coordinated action of the emergency teams, they managed to save his life.
Reporting and preparation: a quick operation to save lives
The ship MSC ASLI arrived in the Haifa Bay area around 10:00 in the morning, and reported a medical emergency - a mechanic of the ship was found unconscious. As soon as the report was received, the officials at the Haifa port organized to quickly bring the ship into the Carmel wharf, in order to provide emergency treatment in real time.
Emergency crews arrived with the router
At the same time as the ship entered, the router team went to it with paramedics on board, with the aim of starting the resuscitation procedure as quickly as possible. While steering the ship towards the dock, the paramedics began CPR, an operation that continued throughout the short voyage into the port.
Coordinated action of all parties involved
The entire event was managed with impressive coordination between all the parties - the observation team of the Haifa Maritime Transport Co., the router, and the paramedics. The precise coordination and quick response of all involved were critical to the success of the rescue and saving the mechanic's life.
Dramatic ending at the Carmel dock
The ship arrived at the Carmel wharf in a short time, where medical teams were waiting to continue the medical treatment of the mechanic. Thanks to the quick resuscitation that was done while the ship was entering the port, the mechanic was saved and received initial treatment that stabilized his condition.
