Demonstrators in David HaCohen Square (Book Square) in Haifa calling for the return of the abductees - a year later

In David HaCohen Square (Book Square) in Haifa and in other places around the city today (October 7, 2024) an activity is taking place to commemorate the terrible anniversary in the history of the country. Dozens of residents who stand in a human chain arrived at David HaCohen Square in the early hours of the morning and call for the return of the abductees who are languishing in the captivity of Hamas and for a moment not to drop the very important human issue from the public agenda.

The memorial vigils in David HaCohen Square will continue throughout the day.

Many drivers respond to signs asking them to honk as a sign of identification and support. During the morning, police were called to the scene following an incident in which a car driver attacked an elderly protester and knocked her to the ground. The incident was handled by police forces who quickly arrived in the area.

The leaders of the activity emphasize that the intention is not to create confrontations but rather to remind that this is a first-rate human issue and that we must continue to demand the release of the abductees who are in real danger with each passing day.

The stand and the protest are focused on creating a common denominator for support and the demand to return the abductees home.

  1. Beyond the wretchedness of the skeptic, the skeptic demonstrators are bored... no one is talking about the complete destruction of life around this square. It's been a year that they've been blocking our lives on Saturdays... now we have a party every night between 5 and 7. Sirens. (Honk for the return of the kidnapped - honk now) Trumpets and the curve that shouts on the loudspeaker 'We want them here nowoooooooo!!!!!!!' Like a 3-year-old girl who had her teddy bear taken away. What do you want us to do with it? What kind of influence do we have? Beyond the children who cry all the time from the stress of the incessant sirens (yesterday we enjoyed it from 7:30 to 20:00). Are we to blame that Hamas kidnapped them? Are they not coming back because of us? What did you do for us? Why are you ruining our lives? Disgust of delusional people. who want peace now Deal now .. as if Sinwar is chasing Bibi to make a deal all day ... you killed us and killed our children. You are almost as bad as Hamas.

    • so right
      The delusional should be outlawed.
I suspect that they are generally operatives of Hamas or the Iranians who are trying to ride on the grief of the Israelis and sow division in the nation. After all, anyone with eyes in his head understands that liberation is not in Israel's hands.
Hamas has no interest in the deal.

  2. Yesssssssssssssssssss. The pensioners of a new branch and March.
As a Haifai who looks down on you, I suggest you leave the country..because you will never get the government back. The era of Rabin the drunk and Peres the traitor will never return.
Get out of our country! Go already and don't come back.

  3. Delusional and messianic Bolsheviks. Fantasize reality and live by it. How much blood has been shed in the world throughout history because of such people.

Indeed the abductees and their families are suffering greatly, but the country is at war and it is difficult to see the full picture.

If they didn't have budget pensions, these demonstrations probably wouldn't have taken place

  4. How many protesters are there, 8?
Go to Gaza, look for the abductees yourself and bring them back.
If we knew where they were, we'd already get there ourselves, right?

  5. hundreds of people??? Did you fall hard? I was there and I barely counted 10 crazy people with each one standing in a different direction. Drivers were nervous. And buses were impatient.

  6. Stop posting wrong things. Punch in the real numbers. You write in a biased way. This is not fair communication. You are like in Soviet Russia and 'pravda' = "truth". lol

  7. There are no hundreds here. Hardly dozens.
    Who are they protesting against?
We all protest but against the enemy that captured them.
There are many who have been killed. A large part of them to save hostages or to save those attacked by the real enemy. They should be mourned. and decide what the future will look like from now on for us.
It would be desirable for everyone to gather together - for - and not against. In the meantime, they are acting according to the orderly plan of Satan Sinuar, who knows the public in Israel.

  8. Snuar is building on the fact that Iran will destroy Israel.. therefore there is no one to talk to
There isn't even one on the left that reaches Netanyahu's ankles.. The poison channels will continue to drip venom but Snore is gone!

  9. Now you remembered to say (doubt correct) "that there was an intention to create verifications". I live near the Horev center and hear the speakers, what hate, what talk. The kidnapped are the only ones paying. You are to blame for what happened. And much thanks to you there was no deal. You are motivated by hatred and royal madness... the period of privilege in Israel is over.

  10. Where in Sefer Square can hundreds enter? At best a few elderly women drinking their cappuccino in a nearby cafe before me

  11. To AD: The abductees are really interesting to the end of your ass, hahahaha, a legal housing cottage and now abductees, you will soon start demonstrating for withdrawal from Lebanon, anti-Bibi is a deadly disease. You do not deserve the hair on the head of my sons and soldiers!

  12. All the bored/dead people of the Carmel, everything is political, those who have sons like me who fought in Gaza and now in Lebanon, do not have the luxury of political protests to overthrow a democratically elected government. You do not deserve their sacrifice period!

  13. This is not a comment that is waiting to be addressed, this is a response to all the stupid demonstrations of the demonstrators whose demonstrations made the return of the abductees more distant and raised the price that cannot be paid for them to continue like this and we will see if they will see the delusional abductees

  14. Do not get into the traffic lane. reserve
on the lives of the demonstrators. do not disturb
for the normal course of the public.
And you were saved for yourselves.
