"The whole city is dirty, as if this period isn't depressing enough" • Haifa residents are disappointed

(haipo) - In the shadow of the war that strikes the country and shakes up our lives, the residents of Haifa try to maintain some kind of routine, and nevertheless also find moments of peace and normality. But alongside all the challenges of the period, there are many residents who fail to ignore the poor state of cleanliness in the city. Countless complaints reach the Live System here regarding the great dirt on the streets of Haifa. Many report that the garbage is not removed often enough and dog excrement is scattered on the sidewalks and testify that this clouds their daily lives, which are also full of distress.

Residents repeatedly report public areas, parks and playgrounds throughout the city that are not taken care of. The same is true of the Lui Promenade, a central focal point in the city, which on normal days attracts many tourists, is not free of dirt and neglect these days in a noticeable and conspicuous way.

Dog feces and filth in the playground

A Haifa mother who went to the playground with her son one of the last few days, in order for him to get some fresh air and "release his energies", tells Lahi Pa: "The situation in the kindergarten is simply disgusting and repulsive. The whole garden is full of dog excrement. It's not enough that I'm under pressure that an alarm will catch us when we're outside, now I I'm also afraid that the child who accidentally lay on feces during the alarm is supposed to be clean, regardless of the war. This situation is sad and infuriating, in addition to all the tension we are experiencing."

"With all the pressure from the war, people just want to get out of the house and get some fresh air, but even then we come across dirty sidewalks and dog excrement on every corner," says one resident of Kiryat Haim. "It makes our mental state even more difficult, as if what we are going through is not enough."

In addition to the state of cleanliness, the residents express frustration with the unregulated parking on the city's sidewalks, a phenomenon that has been written about extensively on the Hai Pa website. One of the complaints heard repeatedly is that it seems that the number of cleaning workers and municipal inspectors has been significantly reduced, at least compared to other periods, which leaves the city neglected and dirty.

The Haifa Municipality informed Haifa News Corporation: Haifa Municipality purchased 8 new Tiot vehicles, which will replace old vehicles. Later, 7 more Tiot vehicles will be added to the vehicle fleet, which will further expand the capabilities of the urban cleaning system. The new vehicles are equipped with advanced and quiet washing systems and will significantly improve the maintenance capabilities of the city's streets.

  1. By definition, to be a Haifa resident is to be disappointed
It's time for people to wake up here from their coma
This is also the public's job - to report so that they come to clean overturned bins and dog poop, to clean the streets. Contact the municipality and insist on getting answers
When the residents here wake up and move, the municipality will work accordingly

  2. It may all be true, but residents who behave like animals, who think that the municipal employees are their slaves and that they will be dumped and the municipal dwarf will clean up after them, are wrong!!! Have you eaten a pizza, fold the packaging or take the packaging to the nearest recycling bin, what did you think this was a personal service??? Beasts!!!

  3. The dog owners are destroying the streets!!
We need to start handing out fines by placing street bells. This is the only way we will keep the streets clean.
Every day I see impudent people who let their dogs defecate in the middle of the road and on the sidewalk. You can no longer walk in the street for fear of stepping on excrement! Catastrophe!!
    Street cameras and instant fines
This is what will solve the lot of filth created in the streets.

  4. Haifa had a fallen mayor for 15 years, then she threw him up and replaced him with a bigger fallen (cliche) after which she returned and swallowed the vomit and returned Yahav, so what wonder the city is dirty

  5. so what? You replaced a good mayor, a mayor who failed in his 15 years in power, and you got a continuation of the failure.
It's a shame that the municipal employees failed Einat Klishi, so much so that they made a failed mayor return to his throne, because he is benevolent to the municipal employees and not to the residents of the city.

  6. Is Auto Tiot suitable for cleaning in a playground? What's more, the number of cleaning workers decreased, but the number of inspectors did not decrease. Once at the Eli Cohen Kindergarten I always saw 2 guys cleaning the section, now barely 1. Black bags for cleaning up after dogs have also completely disappeared. But what I want to say is, if everyone cleans up after their dog and everyone throws garbage in the trash and not by him, it can relieve more than half of the cleanliness problem

  7. There is no doubt that the Haifa municipality needs to invest a lot, during the pregnancy of the city, to maintain an orderly work procedure for daily cleaning, (come out and see how it goes in Kiryat Bialik), and at the same time there is no exemption here for the citizens of the city, including people who have to maintain cleanliness, and collect their dog's excrement , everyone will keep in their own area and in general, the city will already look different.

  8. Yona, it's worse than the time of the bizarre lunatic. The one who scattered pages with signs of "the common Carmel pig". If you don't want to be remembered as "the old man who left the city dirty", start recruiting cleaners for every street. Sports Street and Fagin for example.

    • It's not worse than the previous one, it's the same as it was in his previous term and it will continue to get worse for another year, you won't be able to walk on the sidewalks near the house and the stench will be great. That's how he was the mayor and you elected him again. Do you have a short memory or do you like being abused so you have a replay And what bothers him is that people smoke and give reports in order to clean the city, so enjoy it, I don't think you should complain, it's what you chose, everything was known in advance

  9. You owe the Arita employee who only works on Geula Street. Within half an hour the man collects everything into the drains and the water and the sewers, the garbage and the dirt. He sits in the shade of the tangled trees and talks to his heart's content on the sophisticated cell phone he has in fast Amharic. An outstanding employee of the municipality.

  10. Tiot vehicles? are not a substitute for cleaning workers. Heads of sanitation areas admit that they do not have enough cleaning workers. The municipality does not prioritize increasing the workforce, but is there a budget to add consultants and deputies?

  11. ha ha ha! This was one of Yona Yahav's false slogans in his election campaign: the city is dirty!
The disqualifier in Momo disqualifies. Now the city is really dirty wherever you go.
Does everyone still believe in the "real mayor". Is he real or just chasing rule, dominance and honor?

  12. The amusement park on Habanim St. in Neve Shanan is dirty, they don't vacuum the synthetic grass, you can't sit comfortably from the annoyance of the flies and mosquitoes that eat you. Apart from changing the garbage bags every day, nothing was done.

  13. The cleaning workers don't really know how to clean. overlap Also, how can you both clean and be inside the phone at the same time?!

  14. can comfort you.. it's not only in Haifa. It's everywhere. People don't see a meter from the end of their noses.. they don't clean up after themselves, they don't pick up their trash either in the sea or in nature or in parks, they play loud music for hours on end, talk on the phone over a loudspeaker on a bus or train, and when they are woken up they get angry and behave like an average bully .
They can't even throw trash into a garbage can in Binyin in a normal way.. The Zev bag drips all the way down the stairwell to the trash and at the end they put the bag on the floor.. and why? Because the nearest bin has protested and they don't have the strength to enter the next bin.
    In short.. trash people!

  15. Volunteer for the cleaning patrol or just take out the trash...
The cleaning workers from the territories, in the territories..

  16. I am also disappointed with the cleanliness. Near bus stops, on sidewalks. full of dirt And a lot of dirt is found by pigeons. The whole city is full of pigeons that multiply at a rate and pollute everything. Needs a thorough cleaning

    • You must live on Geula Street? Maybe in Elozorov? Maybe in Nordau? Rabbi Herzog?

  17. As in the shadow of war, so in the light of the sun.
I have already referred to the "Sanitation. Carmel region" environment.
    Nothing moved.

  18. Fine the dog owners who do not collect their dog's excrement.
Thus, in addition to deterring dog owners, the municipality will receive money.

  19. Vandalism by disturbed teenagers with parents who did not educate them or themselves all kinds of anti-state in demonstrations and spraying and vandalizing property - a much more difficult problem.

  20. I am not a resident of Haifa
But I don't understand the logic of the wartime residents why put the cleaning workers at risk.
Why be weak superheroes in society

  21. If reports are given to those who do not pick up their dog's excrement. Complaining too! The residents are to blame for all the dirt.
