On Thursday (26/9/24), State Comptroller Mateniho Engelman toured Haifa and Kiryat Bialik. As part of the tour, the State Comptroller met with the Mayor of Haifa, Yona Yahav, and the Mayor of Kiryat Bialik, Eli Dukorski, and visited the site of the missile crash in Kiryat Bialik.

According to the critic Engelman:

"A more effective treatment is required in terms of property tax with a inclusive approach towards the residents whose homes have been damaged. From the point of view of the North as a whole, there is still no defined government plan, including in the economic and educational fields. I call on the Minister of Finance, the Minister of the Interior and the government: We must now formulate and implement a plan for the residents of the North who are locked in their homes and suffer damage to their incomes. In the midst of the war, there must be a factor that takes care of the home front, both in terms of supporting the authorities and in handling the protection gaps, these issues must be resolved immediately.

There is still a debate between the Minister of Defense and the Minister of the Interior as to who will be responsible in the event of an evacuation and the Prime Minister should be required to do so immediately. The Ministry of Finance must formulate a plan to deal with the businesses that are being affected these days in the north and the workers who were forced to go to the military. This gap has not been caught. We have been at war for a whole year, it is necessary to establish a support system and appoint a comprehensive entity that will be an address for the residents of the north."
