About 60 toddlers aged three and under, all children of Rambam employees, arrived this morning at the nursery classes that were opened in the underground hospital of the medical center. The three nursery classes join about 450 of the workers' children, who are already 3-12 years old, who were taken in at the nursery last week.
"From the moment the green light was given to open the nursery school, we went into high gear," says Rama Levy, director of the individual welfare department in Rambam's human resources, "toddler classes are a challenge of a different kind, and in order to enable their opening we teamed up with Noamat who help us operate the framework. The first day started a little hard, but we overcame all the obstacles and the sweet children acclimated quickly."
Among the children in the nursery, there is also Kerem, the son of Dr. Shawn Dahan-Nashii, a doctor specializing in the ENT department and Adi Dahan Nashii, a doctor specializing in children A at the hospital. His older brother, Riff, is in the senior class. "Last week was a difficult logistical operation," says Dr. Dahan Nashi, "we had to juggle between different solutions for a vineyard, and rely on assistance from relatives, a babysitter for a whole day, and the like. The fact that the children can be placed in the frame, here, in the hospital, is significant. The children are in a safe place and in good hands and we are free to do our work without interruption."
