Three suspects were arrested in a raid on an apartment in Haifa; The police continue the fight against drug trafficking
As part of the "Emergency Stop" operation, which was announced by Police Commissioner Danny Levy as part of the fight against violence and serious crime, today (Wednesday 18/09/24) the detectives of the Haifa station together with YSM Carmel fighters raided an apartment in the city of Haifa. During the raid, about a kilogram of suspected heroin and cash in the amount of thousands of shekels, suspected to be the proceeds of criminal activity, were seized.
The police activity, which was carried out in the Carmel area of Hoof district, was intended to damage the drug trafficking infrastructure in the city and maintain public peace. As part of the raid, three suspects, residents of Haifa in their 30s, were arrested on suspicion of possessing the suspected drugs and money.
The suspects were taken for questioning, and then arrested and imprisoned. The police will ask to extend their detention at the Haifa Magistrate's Court in accordance with the findings of the investigation.
Only life imprisonment and confiscation of property will solve the problem.
