The Haifa Economic Society invites small and medium business owners to share their experience and needs in an anonymous survey for the sake of businesses in the city of Haifa.
The Economic Society for Haifa has embarked on a new project of think tanks with practical abilities of Haifa experts in areas of growth - tourism, high-tech and biotech, and small and medium-sized businesses, whose ultimate goal will be to formulate a plan to promote the economy of the city of Haifa.
The purpose of the think tanks is to hold consultation and learning sessions with the help of the participation of experts living in the area, and the exchange of opinions to promote the city's economy. The purpose of the process is to build a position paper which will be the basis for the projects that the Haifa Economic Society will initiate or take part in as part of the work plan for 2025. The experts invited to the process are completely voluntary. Among the participants of the forum are the director of the business licensing department in the municipality, the Haifa Chamber of Commerce, Mati, Meof for Business, restaurateurs, self-employed people from Haifa and more.
The think tanks accompanied by Tega Consulting, which specializes in process management and consulting for organizations, led by Tali Gazit and Gal Zilberstein meet on a regular basis and discuss the current situation in the field, gaps and challenges, questions and barriers, possible courses of action and recommendations for applicable projects.
Now, after several meetings, the company calls on small and medium-sized business owners in the city to share their experience and needs, and to answer an anonymous questionnaire.
Chairman of the Economic Society for Haifa, Rani Bender noted:
The first thing required in doing this is to hear the area and therefore we share with the small and medium sized business owners in Haifa. The purpose of the questionnaire is to better understand the challenges that businesses face and to identify ways in which the municipal bodies can help you succeed and prosper. Filling out the questionnaire will only take a few minutes and will greatly assist us in formulating plans and solutions that will support local businesses and promote the city's economy. The issue is important to the deputy director of the municipality Gadi Margalit and the mayor Miona Yahav, who asked the economic company to promote a program for small businesses during the 2025 work plan.
The questionnaire will be open for answers until 23/9/2024.
The downtown should be strengthened as an engine of urban growth. Turn every downtown parking lot into an office tower. Each lot generate additional rights. A project like the Azrieli Center should be built in the parking lot next to Kiryat Havalet - 100-150,000 square meters of offices above a huge shopping mall. The Central train must be moved in front of Kiryat Havalet and linked by bridges to Kiryat Havalet and the towers that will be built. Haifa is dying for cranes and new construction, not only for residences.
Haifa must invest in mixing uses in the lower city. Apartment tower for long rent
Office towers for additional employment.
Haifa needs renewal in all its small cultural buildings. move the zoo and increase the area of the mother garden as a metropolitan park 3 times.
Small businesses will thrive when the city is growing and not stagnating.
Haifa needs an ambitious goal of 500,000 residents in 2050 and to do everything on a large scale without breaking the bank.
