The Ministry of Health permanently revoked Roi Babila's license to practice medicine, after he was convicted of serious sexual offenses against several women, most of them minors.
The Ministry of Health announces that on the recommendation of the disciplinary committee of the Ministry of Health and after its recommendation was accepted by the Honorable Judge (retired) Amnon Strasnov, to whom the powers of the Minister of Health were delegated in the matter, Roi Babila's license to practice medicine was permanently revoked. A complaint was filed against Babila by the disciplinary prosecutor of The Ministry of Health, Attorney Tomer Degani, this after he confessed and was convicted of the most serious sexual offenses he committed against several women, including sexual harassment, an indecent act and a pretext prohibited by consent, most of the victims are minors.
The plea was filed in November 2023, immediately after his conviction in court and even before he was sentenced at the beginning of December 2023.
The Ministry of Health has a policy of zero tolerance towards sexual abuse and harassment. In order to deal deeply and comprehensively with the illegal phenomenon, the Ministry of Health is working on a variety of measures, including, in recent times, a significant worsening of the penalties imposed on offenders.
