A delegation from the twin city of Chemnitz, Germany, recently visited Kiryat Bialik as part of the support and solidarity with Israel since the beginning of the war. The visit emphasized the strong ties between the two cities and the shared commitment to the security and well-being of the residents of Kiryat Bialik. The guests expressed a deep identification with the Israeli community. The Zeidler family from Manitz, who had previously come to Kiryat Bialik and participated in the event to mark 100 days since Matan Engrest, a resident of the city, was held captive by the Hamas, returned to visit Kiryat Bialik. The guests from Germany visited the moving performance painted by Bentzion Brofman in Givat Harkafot with the image of Matan and a call for his return. The guests expressed deep identification with the message conveyed in it.
As part of this visit, the delegation arrived at a kindergarten where a new protected area was established, which was purchased thanks to a donation from the Kamnitz community. The guests met with the kindergarten children and sang together with them the song "Little Jonathan", also known in German, as a gesture of brotherhood and cooperation.
The mayor of Kiryat Bialik, Eli Dukorski, said:
We thank our friends from Kmnitz for their continued support. This visit strengthens the ties between our cities and emphasizes the importance of international solidarity in difficult times.
