(haipo) - Drugs of various types in unusual quantities and tens of thousands of shekels in cash, suspected to be the proceeds of criminal activity, were seized in a raid on an apartment in Haifa.

Last night (Sun. 15/9/24), in the activity carried out by the detectives of the Haifa station from the Carmel area of the Coast district, as part of the fight against the scourge of drugs with an emphasis on drug trafficking, the detectives simply searched an apartment in Haifa.
During the raid, an unusual amount of substances suspected of being drugs of various kinds was discovered, including substances suspected of being marijuana and hashish weighing more than 5 kg. Also, tens of thousands of shekels in cash were found in the apartment - money suspected of being the proceeds of criminal activity.
The detectives arrested 2 suspects in the apartment, residents of Haifa in their 30s. The suspects were detained for questioning at the Haifa station, at the end of which they were imprisoned.
According to the needs of the investigation and its findings, the police will ask to extend their detention at the Haifa Magistrate's Court.
