The medical teams of the Rescue Union provided first aid to a moderately injured man (about 25 years old) as a result of an explosion in his car on Route 22 near the Keri Naaman interchange.
Naftali Rotenberg, manager of the Carmel area of the Rescue Union, and the medic Kobi Gross, who provided him with initial assistance, said:
"Passersby said that there was an explosion in the car. After the initial medical assistance we gave him at the scene of the incident, he was taken to the Rambam Hospital, where at this point his condition is classified as moderate and stable."

A short time ago, a report was received at the 100 hotline of the Israel Police about a car explosion on Route 22 from the Bialik interchange heading south. According to medical officials, an injured man was evacuated from the scene for treatment at the medical center.

Already 35 died in a mild-moderate condition with head and limb injuries, injured in a vehicle that apparently exploded while driving on Route 22, near the Bialik North interchange. MDA medics and paramedics provide medical treatment and refer him to Rambam Hospital.
Emergency medicine medic at MDA from the motorcycle unit Shlomo Simcha Fox said:
"When we arrived at the scene, we saw a 35-year-old man near the car who was conscious with signs of trauma to the head. We gave him medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care vehicle to the hospital in a mild to moderate condition."
