Good news comes from Kiryat Bialik: a new commune of the organization "Youth to Give" from the organization to give - Israeli humanitarian aid, has started its activities in the city. A group of enthusiastic service year volunteers embarked on an important mission: to enrich the lives of the youth in Kiryat Bialik. The youth volunteer in the mornings in the city's middle schools and high schools, helping with learning and social activities and in the afternoons working in a variety of informal activities with the aim of strengthening social ties and fostering values of volunteering, giving and solidarity among the youth.
On Sunday 8/9/24, a festive reception was held in the mayor's office, Eli Dukorski, in honor of the new Communards.
The mayor congratulated the volunteers for choosing to contribute to the community and expressed his confidence that their activities will inspire the city's youth:
We are very happy about your arrival in Kiryat Bialik. Your activity will be a significant addition to the informal education in the city, will promote the personal and social abilities of the youth, will foster young leadership, and will provide a response to their unique needs.
A youth organization to give to Hapoel with the aim of fostering the values of volunteering, giving and social entrepreneurship among youth. The youth organization focuses on the development of leadership skills and the assimilation of personal skills alongside a scale of humanitarian values and social responsibility. Through the development, initiation and implementation of projects in the community, the youth are exposed to their personal abilities, the needs of the community and the power of the group in driving change.
A year of service for youth to give was opened during the year 2023, and operated in two pioneer communes in Be'er Sheva and Ashkelon. In the coming academic year, the organization expanded its activities and for the first time another commune was opened in the north and it will operate in Kiryat Bialik. During the year of service, in addition to their volunteer work, the Communards will receive a holistic envelope that includes personal and professional guidance from the staff, experience in developing and leading community initiatives, leading social projects to create a sense of belonging.
