The children of Tirat Carmel and their dogs in a campaign to raise awareness of collecting dog excrement
The municipality of Tirat Carmel launched this week a municipal campaign aimed at raising awareness of the issue of collecting dog excrement. The campaign, addressed to all residents of the city, emphasizes the education and responsibility of each and every one of us to keep our environment clean and healthy.
As part of the campaign, girls and boys living in the city were invited through a "calling call" to take pictures with their best friends, the dogs. In the photos, which were hung this week on outdoor signs throughout the city, the children and the dogs convey a clear and important message: "To love a dog is also to pick up after it." In total, about 25 girls and boys participated in the campaign, who were excited this week to see their photos with their dogs around the city and in the various publications.
Mayor, Dodo Cohen:
We believe that girls and children are the best ambassadors to convey the message. Through their moving and honest photos, the children send a direct message to their parents and all the residents of the city, reminding us of the importance of taking personal responsibility for the environment.
At the same time, the Municipality of Tirat Carmel, through the Inspection Division, continues to enforce the law with determination, and the campaign also emphasizes that failure to collect dog excrement is an offense punishable by a fine of NIS 730. As we know, collecting dog excrement is not only a matter of cleanliness, but also of health The public and the protection of the environment. Dog excrement is a health and environmental hazard, especially on the sidewalks and in public gardens and parks, and it may even transmit diseases.
The Municipality of Tirat Carmel calls on all residents to join the effort and make our city cleaner and more pleasant. Let's work together to create a clean and healthy environment for all of us, and for future generations.
