(haipo) - On Thursday 29/8/24, about 400 Haifaites participated in a rally held in Haifa's Kidnapped Square (Piano Square in the center of Carmel) in support of the families of the kidnapped and calling for a deal to return the kidnapped.
Before the rally, the participants marched in the Carmel Center for a solidarity and support march with the participation of some of the families of the abductees. During the march, the participants spread a cloth in the shape of the sign calling for the release of the kidnapped and chanted: "We are bringing everyone home!" , there are no more urgent issues - return the abductees"! "We will not abandon them!" "We are all abductees, we are all abductees", deal now!"!!

In the invitation to the event, which was organized by the Haifa Kidnapped Headquarters headed by Dr. Daniela Mazur and a team of volunteers, it was stated:
The people of Haifa gather to shout the cry of the 107 abductees who have been in Gaza for 328 days and demand: a deal - now! Haifa stands with the families of the abductees, because there is nothing more important! We will not agree to abandon them! We will all arrive in yellow to demand their return!" In preparation for the rally, this is the second week, with the help of donors, yellow shirts with an inscription calling for the realization of a deal were printed.

Beaz Zalmanovitz, son of lion (Zalman) Zalmanovich, born in Haifa and Nir Oz, who was kidnapped on October 7 and murdered in Hamas captivity. Zalman, the abductee who stayed and was murdered alongside Farhan Alkadi who was released this week, was the oldest abductee and died after two and a half months in captivity.
