The new 27-year-old Brazilian stopper, Pedro Enrique de Oliveira Correa, also known and referred to as Pedro, landed in Israel yesterday, passed the medical tests and signed this morning (Thursday, 29/8/2024) with Maccabi Haifa for three years.
Federu, standing at a height of 1.94 m, was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the brakeman began his senior career at the Brazilian Agua Santa, from which he made the leap and at the age of 20 he signed with the luxury Brazilian club Palmeiras, Federu went on loan to several teams in Brazil and Portugal.
At the beginning of the 21/22 season, he moved to the "Fortimonense" team, from the first league in Portugal and very quickly became the team captain. He made 99 appearances in all media, during which he scored 5 goals and assisted two more. In total, De Oliveira has 117 appearances in the Portuguese top flight. Pedro received the number 44 that belonged to Šimić who left the team.
After signing with the Greens, Federeu said:
I am very happy to sign with Maccabi Haifa, I have seen so many video clips of the team and the atmosphere in the "Sami Ofer" stadium and I am already looking forward to playing in front of this crowd.
