(haipo) - A man was killed and three people were injured in an accident that occurred at the southern entrance to Haifa, on the beach road, in the area of the cemetery, involving 3 vehicles. The accident happened on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, 14/8/24, around midnight.
MDA informed Lahi Pa:
At 00:07 a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Carmel region, about a car accident involving 3 vehicles, one of which overturned on Highway 2 Sderot Hagana near the Haifa cemetery. MDA medics and paramedics pronounced the death of a 25-year-old man and are providing treatment medically and referred to Rambam Hospital, 2 men about 25 years old in moderate condition with bruises, and a woman about 54 years old in mild condition.
A senior medic at the MDA Shobach Rottenstreich said:
"We saw a crushed vehicle after it overturned standing on the road, with 3 passengers of the injured vehicle nearby, one of them was unconscious with multiple systemic injuries, after medical examinations and resuscitation attempts we had to determine his death, 2 other young men who were with him in the vehicle were injured and were fully conscious, after initial treatment We evacuated them to the hospital when they were in moderate condition. A 54-year-old woman was next to another vehicle that was on the side of the road, she was fully conscious and walked away, we provided her with medical assistance and evacuated her to the hospital in a minor condition."
Fire and Rescue reported:
During the night, the fire fighters under the command of Reshef Guy Rosen were dispatched to the event of a car accident between two vehicles on Hagana Boulevard, at the entrance to Haifa, near the cemetery.
The fighters worked on the spot to stabilize the vehicles and disconnect the energy sources from the vehicles.
The medical teams treated a number of victims with different degrees of injury, when one of the victims was left lifeless and died.
The place where the accident occurred is prone to disasters. There are at least 4 p.s. in general, all the entrances and exits to Haifa in Vacha Shed. The defense and later will become the wild west!! For my heart's content there is no camera in the place that would at least cause reluctance and also no enforcement except rarely and the results speak for themselves

Crazy competition and speed brings the drivers to the cemetery - literally.
I am almost completely certain that the culprit in the accident is the off-road vehicle. Off-road vehicle drivers generally feel more confident than on-road vehicle drivers, due to the height of off-road vehicles.
