Tisha B'av 2024 - will the house be destroyed again?

1955 years since the destruction of the Second Temple. The Temple, which was the source of the Shekinah and inspiration for the people of Israel, a place where pilgrims from all over the world would go on pilgrimage three times a year, was destroyed and burned. why? Because of free hate. The Talmud in tractate 'Gittin' tells the sad story of Kamtza and Bar Kamtza.

One of the people of Jerusalem made a feast and sent his servant to invite Kamtza. But by mistake he invited Bar Kamtza. The host insisted on expelling Bar Kamtz, who had been ordered by mistake, even though he promised to pay for the entire meal, provided he would not be ashamed. Expelled - he went to inform the king, which eventually led to the destruction of the house.

And it is also told there, about the rich of Jerusalem who stored in warehouses grain, oil and wine for all of Jerusalem for a very long time. but? There were some people who decided to fight with them and burned their warehouses. And the result? The nation of Israel surrendered and the temple was destroyed. And here, Tisha B'av comes again. Sadder than ever.

Sad about Simchat Torah this year which was already Tisha B'Av and this is the second time. Sad for the thousands murdered in the last year and those before them. Sad for hundreds of thousands of displaced people, hundreds of thousands of soldiers who are waiting to return home. And especially sad about our house, which seems like we are destroying it with both hands.

Our late sages greatly aggravated Tisha B'Av, and compared it to the fast of Kippur which is from the Torah, in that the fast begins in the evening (and not like the other fasts that begin in the morning), that it is also forbidden to bathe, to adorn oneself and to wear leather shoes, for mourning. Even 'Shalom' It is forbidden to say on Tisha B'av, how sad and sad this day is. But, the Gemara says "just as the temple was destroyed because of gratuitous hatred, so it will be built because of gratuitous love."

It is in our hands to cancel the cause of the destruction and exile, and to bring salvation. We are brothers, in the same house - who do not agree on the same opinions. Looks legit, doesn't it? So instead of fighting, let's try to smile at each other, say good morning to everyone even those who don't look like us, understand that it is allowed to have some opinions and even if we disagree we are still brothers. If each of us takes a small step of free love, even in thought - to think well of someone else, and even more in speech - to say a kind word to someone else who thinks differently, and even more - to do a good deed, our home will not only be preserved and remain, and not only that our enemies will not They will be able to, but the third temple will be built soon.

How much fun it will be, let's do it faster, it's in our hands!

  1. will destroy also destroy. The traitor is the prime minister and elections will not help her. The "Pro Verbo" promises him an illusory bloc under whose leadership there will be no strong army, the economy will collapse and our enemies will have no difficulty destroying it once and for all.
