Graffiti sprayers were caught in Haifa

(haipo) - The enforcement and security teams of the Municipal Beach Division in Haifa, last weekend caught suspects of spraying graffiti on walls at the beaches.

During the weekend (10/8/24) suspects were caught spraying graffiti on Bat Galim Beach and the Student Beach in Haifa. In both incidents, the enforcement and security teams of the Coastal Division identified the suspects as they spray graffiti on walls in the public space, while breaking the law.

The teams acted immediately to stop the commission of the offense and detained the suspects on suspicion of vandalizing property, until the police arrived and filed a complaint.
Reports were filed against the suspects and their equipment was confiscated.

The Director of the Beaches Division in the Haifa Municipality, Yehiel (Hilik) Amsalem, praised the activity of the enforcement and security teams and emphasized that the Haifa Municipality provides a platform for graffiti artists and allocates places for this throughout the city, but nevertheless, spraying graffiti without a permit is a crime.

  1. Some decent graffiti can only add to this neglected tunnel some beauty. What are these inspectors paid for? Looking for revenue potential for the municipality? Address the real problems of the city. Did you take care of parking on the sidewalks? On construction sites that illegally encroach on public space? In the scooter riders who ride on sidewalks? In this place you treat graffiti artists, wow, heroes!

  2. Get up to work and finance, in addition to other things, also the municipality with violators, enforcement vehicles and other things that those who need will tell us why it is needed...so that we learn maybe we didn't know.

  3. You should also do a lottery for who will be ambassador...like a lottery. ..on embassies such as Cambodia, America, Guatemala, Paraguay, Italy, France ..embassies in every country.

You won ..= be an ambassador .. you will receive a salary money bodyguards flights cars Saudi Arabia .. free no money = no payment ..

And almost 0 tasks..and a sea of workers who do what you say.

Really cool .. what fun .. and you are not monitored either .. but make sure you are alone when you feel like drawing graffiti in Florence ..

  4. All or most of the municipalities should be closed and their budgets should be transferred to matters that are really necessary..

The public needs to understand more than it did that when there is payment and funding of salaries for gardeners and inspectors in public gardens... and funding for violations and renovations of elementary schools and the construction of unnecessary municipal buildings...

This is at the expense of the tax payer

..it's money you could have enjoyed..
In the place where the money goes to buy violators, etc.
Build a giant wheel and give out a ticket to every citizen every year to sit, in a giant wheel for example .. with the Carmel view ..

This is money that could have hired guards at the border to guard the border on the 7th of October instead of another sea of gardening vehicles and an inspection trip.

  5. Wow, the inspectors know how to come after the weak, it's their job to give fines for nonsense, but things that should really be there, the cowards are not there, I wish they don't know how to inflate the coffers of the municipality, this shame

  6. Too bad, many artists paint really beautiful paintings on these ugly concrete walls. And according to the equipment, you can see that these are artists and not children who came to paint pins.

  7. Why not give a fine of several thousand shekels?
This is the only thing that will deter, and also cover the costs of the damages.
It's vandalism for everything - and whoever destroys public property has to pay for this destruction.

  8. Are the police paying you to improve their image? So that police officers in Haifa - the city where nothing works - can continue to go to court?

  9. How easy it is to come across street artists. This is how it is when the real crime is not able to be treated. And shooting pigs indiscriminately is not wisdom, it is vile

    • Anyone who has seen the defacement of walls at Bat Galim beach - there is no art there. It's spray lettering. It's not artistic graffiti of any kind, it's pure vandalism.

    • The municipality has been a joke for more than twenty years and unfortunately will continue to be for the next five years

  10. The inspectors are so brave, they catch graffiti sprayers, and dog owners, and for dessert they shoot pigs.
We will ignore that Hadar is considered the second most dangerous neighborhood in Israel, wild car races and much more

  11. If the sprayers are caught, as part of the arrest, they will be taken to the locations of the graffiti, and will be helpful in standing up and cleaning the areas they defaced. Why should others have to clean up and remove their filth? And that they bring them chained during the day, in front of the residents in the area, and the eyes of the children. An educational and effective act. We will see them.

    • exactly! All of Haifa is old and neglected. Let them clean, renovate, trim and improve the appearance of the city.

    • Why filth? They did not photograph their works. Go find out, maybe Benzi painted there

  12. The police and municipal inspectors suffer from excess time and idleness. They are proud to have caught the graffiti artists.
I am reminded of the movie The Policeman from Saint Tropez with Louis de Pines.

  13. Clown inspectors really caught evil evil criminals, you can sleep in peace,
And as for me, the fact that Haifa "gives a platform" to nationalists to spray graffiti is a disgrace, stop lying

  14. Artists who reach remote corners and create art
The municipality should pay them and not give them reports.
It's a shame that a local authority doesn't invest enforcement energy where it really matters.

    • It's not remote corners, it's spraying their slogans and names on walls at the beach and it's ugly, it's not even graffiti, it's just vandalism. Anyone who has been to Bat Galim Beach and seen it knows that it is the farthest thing from art, it is just nationalist slogans, derogatory phrases and their names (in Arabic)

  15. It's great that there is a police force to stop graffiti sprayers, but not for all the vehicular traffic that makes noise, scares and threatens all the residents of Haifa. There is no neighborhood that doesn't suffer from it, from Carmel to Neve Shanan and the coastal roads.
