On Sunday, 11/8/24 at 15:28, a report was received at MDA's 101 emergency center in the Gilboa area about a shooting attack on 2 vehicles on Route 90 near the Machola intersection. Large Magen David Adom forces were launched to the scene, including the MDA Hezla-Air helicopter, ambulances, intensive care vehicles and MDA drivers mounted on motorcycles.
MDA senior medic Mati Karmi said:
"We were informed by the MDA center about a shooting attack near Mahola intersection. When we arrived at the scene, we joined a 33-year-old wounded man who was conscious with gunshot wounds to his lower body, during the medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding and joining the MDA helicopter that landed in the area, we received a report of an unconscious casualty with gunshot wounds in another vehicle.
The MDA medics and paramedics provided life-saving medical treatment and evacuated a 33-year-old man by MDA helicopter to Rambam Hospital in moderate condition with gunshot wounds to his lower body. After performing CPR, Magen David Adom paramedics had to pronounce the man dead in his 20s.
MDA paramedic Denis Polkov said:
We arrived at the scene of the attack and saw a car on the side of the road with the driver, a young man in his 20s, unconscious with gunshot wounds to his body. Together with an IDF medical force that arrived on the scene, we performed medical tests, but his injury was fatal and after resuscitation attempts we had no choice but to determine his death.
