Each parent will buy one simple yellow shirt, on which will be printed the symbol of the school your child goes to. At the beginning of the school year, everyone will arrive at the school with yellow shirts.

We will also convey a message to strengthen the abductees, and we will also show the children how all of Israel is bound to each other. A yellow shirt initiative is underway."

Midad's request to share the post was answered by many. So far, the post has received close to 5,000 shares and it continues to gain a twin every additional minute. The families of the abductees in Haifa join and ask to spread the initiative

The shirt (without the stolen headquarters or additional/other signs) can be used by the boys and girls throughout the year.

The call for everyone to arrive in yellow (including the educational staff) will be a statement from all of us, that Haifa does not forget the abducted and the abducted, and that the city in general and the education system in particular put the issue on the agenda and will not let it go until everyone is here 🎗️".

A yellow shirt for Uncle Oded and to raise awareness of the situation of the kidnapped

He also joins the reading Gadi Amichai, father of three school-aged children. Gaddi's uncles, Yochaved and Oded Lifshitz, were kidnapped from Nir Oz. Yochaved returned after 17 days in captivity. Oded is still being held captive by Hamas.

Yochaved was released, but Oded, who celebrated his 84th birthday in captivity, has remained abducted by Hamas for more than 300 days. To strengthen the abductees and their families, a call for the return of the abductees home

Since October 7, many initiatives have been put forward by the families of the abductees and many volunteers, most of them all for identification, raising awareness, for strengthening the abductees, among them children, to show that we have not forgotten.

From this, some of the initiatives were held in the education system, in the same institutions that approved the activity. On January 14th, the schools were asked to reserve a time for a lesson on the subject of the abductees to mark 100 days to the events of October 7th, and dedicated workshops were held in middle schools and high schools on the sanctity of human life. In some schools they even stopped classes at 11:00 for 100 minutes.

On March 20, the headquarters of the families of the abductees in Haifa, led by Dr. Daniela Mazor, activated an exciting activity at booths in schools for the holiday of Purim.  

On June 17, teenagers and high school students stood for the first two hours of the school day and stood by the entrance gates to the schools calling for everyone to return home: "We are creating for the holiday, but they are still captive in Gaza."

The "Yellow Shirt" project is underway and seeks to harness the education system and all parents to join the valuable and exciting initiative.
