The "Metropan" project is underway: "Chutza Israel" company will start work next week (11-15/8/24) on the construction of the "Metropan" project - the bicycle path network in Kiryat Haim.
The project will provide quick, convenient and efficient access to the commercial and employment centers in the metropolis, while creating rapid connectivity to the public transportation network, educational institutions and recreation and leisure centers in the area. "Metropan" in Kiryat Chaim.
The "Metropan" project is a network of bicycle paths, connecting the entire Haifa metropolis. The project will help reduce air pollution in the area, and encourage cycling among the residents of the area. As part of the project, a network of bike paths will be paved, the sidewalk will be widened and landscape development works will be carried out, including lighting, gardening and the addition of shade trees. Also, roadside facilities, drinking points, rest areas and shaded refreshment stations will be established along the network's routes.
The works will be carried out from Stadium Street to Highway 4 and will pass through the streets: Aryeh Shankar and Avraham Danino and in open areas. The works will start next week, and will last about a year. As part of the works, changes will be applied to traffic arrangements and pedestrian crossings. The works will be performed on Sunday-Thursday, between the hours of 07:00 in the morning and 19:00 in the evening, as well as on Fridays between the hours of 07:00 and 14:00.
With the completion of the works, the "Metropan" project will pass within the boundaries of five municipalities: Haifa, Kiryat Ata, Kiryat Haim, Kiryat Motzkin and Kiryat Bialik. The project will allow cycling along the leisure areas, employment and educational institutions in the metropolis and create an available, continuous and safe infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrians. The project will contribute to a comfortable passage at the intersections, along with good and fast connectivity to the various means of transportation in the metropolis: the subway, the cable car, buses, the train and in the future also the light rail, "Nofit".
As part of the project, the water, sewage and electricity infrastructures along the route will be renewed and upgraded, and the sidewalks will be restored, emphasizing accessibility for the well-being of the residents. Environmental development works will also be carried out, which will include planting new trees.

"Chutza Israel" is proud to lead this important project, which will be a central pillar in the development of Haifa as a modern and green metropolis.
Go down to Caesarea and see what's going on here, everything is neglected, everything is the wild west, everyone who owns a land apartment steals from the building, labors the garden, makes a car, makes private parking at the expense of public decency, and therefore the supervision does not exist with you at all, respected sir, if you intend to take care of Caesarea, then release us from you
Free Kirit Haim Shmuel, even so, you are useful to her. If you do nothing for Kirya, all you care about is the property tax of the illegals. Free us from you. If you did nothing for us, when did you speed here? The same in our territories in the public gardens, but the supervision under it exists in general
good evening
Mayor Yona Yahav, only this will leave you with a bicycle path, right? There are no recordings, there is nothing, and we will remain only a bicycle path. I asked you what it's like to sleep and get up by endangering the lives of the residents. What's it like to get up? Total neglect in Dagenia, so you are the mayor of the city, so nothing if nothing moves here
Enough for the occupation! From the river to the sea, Kiryat Haim will be free
What about a bicycle path that will connect the cable car with Bat Galim and continue to the Carmel Coast Railway and continue along Route 4 to Zichron?
