The Nature and Parks Authority informed Hai Pa News Corporation:
The Nature and Parks Authority reports that it has identified soft tar scattered in the wash line along the beach in Taninim beach reserve and north of it. Small amounts of tar also reached the Dor Coast Nature Reserve and the Bonim Nature Reserve.
As part of a situation assessment, it was decided to clean beaches on Sunday 4/8/24 according to the sea level situation of the marine unit inspectors in cooperation with the volunteers of the Ecotion association. In total, about 70 bags of tar were collected as a ton of tar.
The Nature and Parks Authority cares and will continue to care for the protection of the beaches it is entrusted with, especially at this time when the beaches are filled not only with bathers, but also with hatchlings of sea turtles, which these days hatch from their nests all over the country and begin their brave journey to life in the great sea.
