Two fires this morning in Haifa

(Hai Fe) Two fires occurred this morning (Saturday 2/8/24) in Haifa. There were no casualties, much property was damaged.

First event - suspicion of setting fire to trucks:

In the early hours of the morning, reports began to be received at the 102 fire and rescue center about fire and smoke in the Ein Haim neighborhood in Haifa.

Fire crews from the Haifa station, under the command of Reshef Guy Goretzky, were rushed to the scene and identified three trucks completely burning on Hathorn Street.

The fighters, using foam hoses, began to work with determination against the intense fire, while at the same time police officers had to act to evacuate civilians from the adjacent building, in order not to be harmed by the smoke.
The event ended without casualties, heavy damage was caused to the trucks.

A fire investigator from the Haifa station arrived at the scene and reports that there is a reasonable suspicion that it was arson.

Second event - fire on the balcony:

Immediately after putting out the fire in Ein Hayam, the crews continued to Raziel Street where they worked on the fire on the balcony of a residential building, instead of burning a pergola, and here too the firefighters had to use fire extinguishing foam hoses in order to gain quick control and prevent the dangerous spread of the fire.

 In this event too, no one was hurt but property was damaged, the arson investigator makes his way to the scene to check what caused the fire to break out.
