The Mayor's Cup soccer tournament in Kiryat Bialik for 2024 has come to an end with resounding success! The event, held over 16 days, became a new record in the number of participants, with 1,300 players from 118 different teams, who celebrated their love of soccer on 5 synthetic pitches of the highest quality.
This year, the tournament focused on the values of sportsmanship and brotherhood, under the slogan "The person before the player". The moving ceremony for the awarding of the outstanding actor award named after the late soldier Yosef Dassa, with the participation of his family, emphasized the importance of these values.

The late Sergeant Yosef Desa, a resident of the city, who fell in the "Iron Swords" war, was an avid soccer fan. The municipality together with the Desa family asked to perpetuate his name in the field that Yosef loved.
During the tournament, 285 fascinating games were held, with the participation of mixed teams and girls' teams, which proved that football is a sport for everyone.

Dukorski thanked the director of the sports department in the municipality, Benny Benisti, the member of the city council and the chairman of the sports committee Liat Boganim and the director of the community department Haim Elias for the exemplary organization of the tournament.
