I am proud of the male and female students who prove that with persistence, determination and hard work, they manage to achieve proud achievements, which give us all hope for a better future.
The Physics Olympiad
The Israeli physics team was trained at the Husidman Center for Science Seeking Youth at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev under the leadership of the academic director, Prof. Oleg Krichevsky, the head coach, Pavel Radzivilovsky and the coaching staff: Chen Mechel, Yonatan Aharoni and Dana Zeidman.
The European Olympiad in Physics is conducted on two exam days - a theoretical exam and a practical laboratory exam, each lasting 5 hours. The tests contain very high level problems in the fields of classical physics such as mechanics, thermodynamics and electromagnetism, as well as modern physics such as relativity and quantum physics.

Director General of the Ministry of Education, Meir Shimoni:
I congratulate the wonderful students, and the education teams and their families who supported them and accompanied them all along the way. These students are the future generation of Israeli science and development, which has a huge impact on the face of the world.
The Math Olympiad
The Israeli mathematics team was trained at the Weizmann Institute of Science under the leadership of the academic director, Prof. Dmitri Novikov, the head coach, Lev Radzivilovsky and accompanied by the team of coaches: Dr. Dan Harmon, Daniel Kaner, Ofer Boguslavsky and Yotam Amir.
The Math Olympiad is held over two examination days, in each of which the participants are required to solve a 4.5-hour test, consisting of 3 questions of high to very high difficulty, in the fields of elementary mathematics: algebra, combinatorics, geometry and number theory.
Professor Daniel Haimowitz, president of Ben-Gurion University:
Year after year our physics team reaches impressive achievements. The 5 medals, Yuval with the gold medal, and Lihya, Lili, Itay and Yoav with the silver medals, together did an excellent and wonderful job. Considering the challenging times we are going through as a nation, the ability of the students to excel and reach the highest level in physics is a certificate of honor for them, for its coaching staff and the entire team of the Husidman Center at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
