At the beginning of the week (21/7/24) MM and Deputy Mayor Avihu Han were hosted at Haifa Port. The general manager of real estate and the sea front Erez Baharir, the sea front engineer Sagi Professorsky and the director of tourism, cruises and the opening of the sea front Zohar Rom participated in the discussion and tour of the port.
Beharir explained to Han the plans for the immediate, short and long term as part of the intention of the Port of Haifa to implement the sea front plan that was implemented many years ago, was approved about seven years ago, and now, for the first time, is being put into effect.

Avihu Han, who also serves as chairman of the preservation committee, received an overview of the ongoing renovation of the mandatory management structure, which will become a culinary center and a tourist experience for visitors at the end of the strict preservation process.
In addition, the new international cruise terminal project was presented, which will be built while preserving and enlarging hangars 8 and 9, as well as hangar 15, which in the last two months has become one of the hottest concert complexes in the Haifa and northern region.
At the end of the discussion, a tour of the seafront complexes was held.

I thank my father for the time he spent getting to know our plans for realizing the vision of the sea front and making the complex an integral part of the urban fabric of the lower city, and as a springboard for tourism, trade, employment and recreation and leisure.
I am convinced that in cooperation we can leverage the sea front project for the sake of the entire city, while preserving the history of Haifa, and guaranteeing its prosperous future.

The Port of Haifa is the leading port in Israel and also serves as a regional hub. The port is located in a natural and protected bay, and includes a large number of terminals that allow the transportation of all types of cargo, and the reception of large passenger ships.
