The Municipality of Tirat Carmel and the new Amidar company held a public participation conference on Wednesday 17/7/24 regarding tenants' rights in eviction-construction processes.
The conference, which took place at the initiative of the Tirat Carmel Urban Renewal Administration and was held at the Center for Innovation in Entrepreneurship and Technology, was attended by about a hundred residents of the city's neighborhoods that are expected to undergo eviction-construction processes in the coming years.
The new Amidar is the national and largest company in Israel that believes in public housing throughout the country. The conference was attended by Mazel Ayoubi, the company's director of community and tenant relations in urban renewal and the head of the Tirat Carmel urban renewal administration, Sigal Gino, and the participants received a detailed explanation of their rights and were also given time for questions and answers.
Last night's conference was held at the same time as the promotion of evacuation-construction plans by the Urban Renewal Authority, the Municipality of Tirat Carmel and the Urban Renewal Administration. It was also promised to the tenants that later this year there will be another conference on the subject and issues related to it.
Head of the Carmel Castle Urban Renewal Administration, Sigal Gino:
This is an important conference held for the first time in the city, during which we made it clear to the tenants that they will be part of the process, and will receive support and assistance on behalf of Amidar and of course also from the administration which will help and be at their disposal as much as possible. The impressive response and the number of participants made it clear to us how thirsty the residents are to learn and understand what their rights are. We see great importance in the participation of the public housing residents in renewal plans, and are in contact with them throughout the process, in order to allay their concerns and create involvement with full transparency.
Do you have questions about urban renewal? Want to know what your rights are? You are welcome to contact the administration at 04-7708270, 050-2179200.
Well done Carmel Castle. Good Morning
