New acquisition: Sirota signed with Maccabi Haifa

Now it's also official: Alexander Sirota is a new defender who arrived from Ukraine and signed on Thursday, 11/7/2024 with the Maccabi Haifa Greens. Sirota will join the runner-up on loan for one season, with an option for another season.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that Sirota has Jewish roots - he arrived and landed in Israel with an Israeli passport, so he will not be considered a foreign player. Sirota will play with the number 34 on his back, he was previously signed with the "Dynamo Kyiv" team until the end of September 2025 and is supposed to return to it at the end of the upcoming season, unless Maccabi Haifa exercises the purchase option on him.

After the signing Sirota said:

I want to win every title possible, very happy to join the biggest club in Israel, there is an amazing crowd here and I look forward to seeing it already.

We will also tell you that Sirota grew up in the academy of the "Dynamo Kyiv" team and became a central player in the defense of the senior team since the 2020/21 season, when he participated in its games also in the group stage of the Champions League when he recorded five appearances of 90 minutes in the group stage. In the same season he was also a partner with the team to win the doubles in Ukraine.

Also, in the last season, Sirota made 15 appearances in the Ukrainian league in the uniform of Dynamo Kyiv, while the player also made 2 appearances in the uniform of the senior national team of Ukraine, but he was not invited to the Euro 2024 games.
