(haipo) - Contributing to the Community - As part of the week of saluting the national civil service, a certificate awarding ceremony was held for the national civil service honorees at the President's House in Jerusalem. Among the outstanding people who received a token of appreciation for their significant contribution and volunteerism for the benefit of society and the country, MDA volunteer Mark Sleiman, from Haifa, was also chosen, who performed an exceptional role in the attack that took place in Bat Galim.
The story of Mark Slimane
Mark Sliman (20), a resident of Haifa, began his national service at Magan David Adom in 2022 as an emergency medicine medic. In the circumstances of his election as the outstanding president of the country, it was written "Mark Sleiman integrated into the team in a wonderful way, showed great social skills and demonstrated professionalism and mental fortitude. He performed his tasks in an exceptional manner alongside the difficulties that faced him and even volunteered beyond the hours of service.
Mark showed extraordinary courage during an attack that went down in the Bat Galim neighborhood in Haifa, when a terrorist ran over a soldier and ran with an ax towards other soldiers. There, Mark treated a wounded soldier while remaining calm and professional.
Mark's behavior inspired many. Mark deserves a mark of excellence for overcoming the difficulties, his professional and exemplary behavior, and his significant contribution to the community."
