(haipo) - Residents of Naut Peres are protesting against the intention to establish a subway route that will pass through their neighborhood • "The plan will harm our quality of life and also in terms of safety.
Residents of the Naot Peres neighborhood in Haifa oppose the establishment of a metro route that will pass through their neighborhood, as part of the metro project. The residents started a fight against the project. Elad Ezer, a resident of the neighborhood and one of the leaders of the struggle: "The matron does not serve the interests of the neighborhood and there are serious and concrete safety deficiencies."
About a month ago, the residents received a notice that construction work on the matron track in the neighborhood would soon begin. Immediately upon receiving the notice, they contacted the municipality demanding an explanation regarding the plan, which they claim "caught" them by surprise, since there was no public participation in the matter.
Elad Ezer, a former traffic police officer who has lived in the neighborhood since 2017:
"A month ago, we were informed that they were starting to work. The announcement was received without us knowing about the planning, because there was no public participation. Last week, without any advance notice, we began to see tractors that had already started digging at night on the roads. I immediately approached the workers and began to find out if they had permits, also for the execution Work and in particular work during the night.
We fight and struggle against the plan and are not ready to have our neighborhood destroyed. The matron does not serve the interests of the neighborhood at all, this is in addition to serious and concrete safety deficiencies. The route should pass on the main road, near a kindergarten and residential buildings. We are in the stages of legal proceedings and we have already opened a petition that was signed by about 75% of the residents, and we also issued a strong letter to the mayor."
The residents even created a presentation (parts of which are shown in the article) detailing the deficiencies, according to them, arising from the plan.
The Haifa Municipality informed Haifa:
"The Haifa municipality informed the company that the priority should be in the development of line 6, that is, road 4 up to the Carmel Castle, which will serve the residents of Naut Peres in phases I and B."
Good morning to you, the matron's route has been known for years
Banuat Peres Anyone who bought an apartment knew that there is a main highway, a 4-lane highway that connects to highway 4 and goes through the neighborhood.
Anyone who bought an apartment knew that there is a stadium that will bring thousands of vehicles to take over every parking space in the neighborhood and will be a constant source of noise.
Everyone who bought knew that there would be tall construction such as office buildings that would hide the sea for all the lower floors and in the future also for the upper ones
Everyone who bought knew that there would be a metro and public transport on the main road to and from the stadium.
Everyone who bought knew that the neighborhood would become very crowded with construction both above the neighborhood to the Plyman-Freud road and to the south as far as the Carmel Castle
Everyone who bought knew these things. Now to start fighting and saying that public transport on the road will endanger the residents is neither true nor relevant because you knew you would pass there.
This is the most important thing.
We need public transportation in the neighborhood. Not everyone has a car. The matron is extremely important. She connects the neighborhood to all of Haifa and up to the Carmel Castle. Good luck
The residents are absolutely right. All the public-attracting institutions in the neighborhood, including the kindergartens, should be mapped, and public transportation should be kept away from these centers. This is especially true for the municipal stadium. Accessibility should only be by private vehicle. If there is no parking, you can build an underground parking lot under the entire neighborhood. The cost will be NIS 1 for a maximum parking space. Not something the residents can't finance out of their own pockets.
Nothing will help do what they want
come on?????
Don't let them cry
I am. I built wig salons in Hadar and the matron passes by
So it's fine, I believe it's reasonable
As usual, they worry about acquisition and depreciation instead of worrying about the common good.
The matron project will save the shameful state of transportation in the region.
Maybe they will prefer to travel in public transport instead of cars and everyone will benefit.
I live there and you are all whiners. The matron is a good thing, the neighborhood is expanding and it's good that public transportation is introduced ahead of time, it's smart. Just tell the truth, you're just upset that you can't block the road near the kindergarten with your car when you come to pick up the kids. Why doesn't it bother you that you block the traffic and take over the right lane near the garden. Friends, you have enough parking in front of Sami Ofer and in the Sami Ofer parking lot and also at your house, you will walk. spoiled Kudos to Haifa Municipality.
Fools, the matron upgrades life, raises properties from experience, one hundred and fifty meters from my house, no problem
The convenience is amazing
The plan was approved back in 2017, I don't understand what the residents remembered now.
Neglected project, poor safety, danger to pedestrians, poor level supervision, a client who doesn't care about the contractor's activities, a contractor who neglects road users and pedestrians, this project is really negligent. Such a contractor and ordering at such a low level is really infuriating
Hahaha your neighborhood is trash anyway. Congested, no parking, congested and more continue to be built. Oh and how can you forget the balconies facing the shower windows of the building next door. Alak quality of life. suckers
A bunch of whiners who don't understand who are building a neighborhood 3 times the size next to them are probably traffic jam lovers. There is no different risk. From the buses to the trucks and vehicles that also travel near the kindergartens. Equally deadly. Why are Haifaim Halem opposed to progress. It's simply a shame for the law firm where Elazar specializes and they want NIS 150 from the residents for a worthless lawsuit that destroys the future of the neighborhood and the city
Like everything that goes on in the Jewish state, the path of the matron was also planned during the previous term of office of Yona Yahav. All this was done in Shushu so that you don't confuse your brain and they didn't just start the works in the dead of night like thieves, you can do eights
In the air. Nothing will help you.
What is planned will be done.
It makes no sense to force hundreds of people to walk half a kilometer to distant bus stops just because you want 3-4 more public parking lots near the house and it is not appropriate for you to have buses pass by, when buses, trucks and all types of vehicles pass on the same road anyway because it is a main road and will remain a main road
Their arguments that a bus line that will pass there is what will endanger them are completely unfounded.
The buses travel at a reasonable speed and according to the law, and it is precisely private vehicles that "fly" on the road.
Such surprises can be avoided in the process of public participation. Yahav and Kalish did not excel in this area.
You are right, but in the municipality they put a cut on the residents of Haifa in every issue and only know how to raise property taxes more and more.
But the one who is to blame is the one who elected those who, for 20 years in the past, have cut off the name of the residents.
As soon as they re-elected someone who failed and did not share with the public in the past, what did you expect to happen this time?
