Police officers at the Zebulon station opened an investigation this weekend after receiving a report about a suspected robbery of a gas station that took place in Kiryat Haim, during which the suspect robbed the cash register after attacking the employee and fled.
The police officers who arrived immediately with the report carried out searches and a short time later were able to locate the suspect nearby with cash.
The suspect, a 29-year-old resident of Kiryat Yam, was arrested for questioning at the station, and eventually jailed. In accordance with the needs of the investigation and its findings, the court granted the request of the police and extended his detention.
