The sunflower blossoms - rising yellow

The month of June 2024 and once again a bright yellow color gives its signals in the fields of the Jezreel valley and the Kiryats.

James Henry Lee Hunt, an English journalist and poet born in the 18th century, wrote "Colors are the smiles of nature" and indeed he was right in a big way. Especially at this time when we are in a period of unrest, walking in the fields is relaxing, and it inspires peace and quiet.

The flower is called common sunflower and blooms every year in early June. The flower has an important nutritional value for humans and animals because it is an important source of protein.

The origin of the sunflower is America. A sunflower can reach a height of 2 meters when the sunflower seeds form at the top of the flower.

The sunflowers can be photographed in this season in the north, in the central area and in the south, but please note that these are private agricultural areas, so you must be careful not to run over or pick the flowers.

My recommendation is to photograph a wonderful sunflower field at sunrise or sunset to achieve a strong effect of these magical flowers.

Sunflowers were the favorite flower of the Dutch painter, Vincent Van Gogh.

Vincent Van Gogh dedicated two series of paintings to sunflowers.

He painted the first series in 1887 when he lived in Paris. The second series was drawn in the village of Arles in the south of France. During the years after his death, the sunflower paintings became the works most identified with his name.

The color yellow was adopted by the families of the abductees as the color of the films. The yellow color has many meanings. It is the bright, happy and optimistic color of sunlight but also a color that warns of danger such as a sign of dangerous substances or bad news.
