At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Haganah Heritage Organization, Brigadier General (Res.) Dr Ephraim Lapid And he mentioned the four partners in organizing the ceremony: the 'Haganah' organization, the 'Team' organization - IDF retirees, the Haifa municipality and the Jewish and Druze public who strengthen the Jewish-Druzi connection in the past and present.
"We are in the shadow of today's war in the memory of foundational events," Lapid said and continued: "On the evening of June 15, 1920, the Haganah organization was founded on the Kinneret farm; nearby is the sacred place for the Druze, Karni Hitin; on June 16 we will celebrate the Feast of the Sacrifice Holy to the Druze and Muslims; and on the night of June 17-16 we will celebrate the Night of the Bridges in which the Palmach and Haganah fighters attacked the bridges surrounding the Land of Israel against the British decrees to limit immigration and settlement.

At the end of his speech, Lapid wished on behalf of everyone for the immediate return of the hostages, for the recovery of the wounded, for the return of the families of those evacuated from the north and south to their homes and for the safety of the IDF soldiers.
Zvika Barbi, member of the Haifa Municipality Council, Yossi Mash'an, Chairman of the Northern District "Team" and Yehudit Yehezkali, the Hagana and the Palmach, on behalf of the members of the Hagana branch in Haifa, also congratulated him.
