(Hai Fe) - Interior Minister Moshe Arbel announced during his visit this week (9-13/6/24) to the Al-Jarayna Mosque in Haifa that a budget has been allocated for the planning and construction of the minaret of the mosque that was destroyed decades ago.
Interior Minister Moshe Arbel visited the Al-Jareina mosque in Haifa this week, accompanied by Knesset member Ayman Odeh who invited him. Minister Arbel announced his approval to rebuild the minaret of the mosque that was destroyed decades ago. During the visit, Sheikh Abu Al-Hija reviewed the importance of the Al-Jarayna Mosque and its status for all residents of Haifa, regardless of the religion they belong to.
During the visit, Minister Arbel emphasized that the necessary budget has been allocated and the necessary measures will be taken for the planning, construction and transfer of the necessary funds for the project.

After 77 years - the destroyed minaret is being rebuilt
Al-Jarayna (The Threshing) Mosque in Haifa, also called the Great Haifa Mosque, was the main mosque of the Arabs of Haifa until the War of Independence. The mosque was built at the end of the 18th century during the Ottoman rule. Its name was given to it due to its proximity to the open market, the square in front of which was called "Jarena". On the south side of the mosque, a clock tower made of stone was built by the fourth mayor of Haifa, Mustafa Pasha al-Khalil.
The Al Jaraina Mosque is located in the lower city on Nathanzon Street (formerly Al-Umayya Street), next to a building in the Government Kiryat.
From Wikipedia (Link)
The mosque consists of several buildings built around a large, square, paved inner courtyard. In the northern part of the sequence of buildings is a rectangular prayer hall that stretches in the east-west direction. Until 1948, the Al Jarayna Mosque included a small minaret from which the muezzin called the prayer. This minaret was destroyed and, as mentioned, it was decided to rebuild it and Minister Arbel announced during his visit that the necessary budget for its design and reconstruction had been allocated.
The Jews were and remain idiots with good intentions. For the Muslims, a mosque and especially its high minaret are evidence of control over the area and the expulsion and destruction of the Jewish and Christian infidels.
There is no hope for the Jews. They were and remain innocent idiots
Minister Arbel is only doing damage, now the noise will begin that we will all suffer from, he is simply an idiot, he must be kicked out of the government, kicking the ass of the Arabs
After building the minaret, will we also hear the muezzin?
You don't need a weapon to conquer us.
There are many unrenovated mosques, renovate them all.... dream state
Why from public money. Why not build from donations like we build synagogues from donations?
Just so that the place will not be a place for incitement, one should hear and listen if there are instigators against Jews in this place, the place should be completely destroyed. Because it is not a holy place.
Our minister Meshas
Unbelievable, this will become a noise hazard like everywhere in Israel and the world under freedom of worship, you are just psychos.. Ayman I would appreciate a representative who wishes for the destruction of Israel, a right wing government 🤣🤣
We are being conquered without weapons, did we already say??? And this time with the help of confused and stupid self-interested politicians
Moshe Arbel, you also did not oppose the "Pandemic Convention" of the World Health Organization, while you held the position of Minister of Health,
And even now you are renovating and glorifying Islam, here in Haifa, in a time of war!
Are you acting in our favor?
Antiquities need to be renovated, including synagogues and churches..
In Beit Safafa, a neighborhood in Jerusalem, they erected a building with a golden dome, similar to the Al Aqsa Mosque in the Old City, adjacent to a historic mosque.
Milla in a neighborhood with a distinct color, but in Haifa, which is already suffering from negative immigration, and also bad public relations, what is the pressure at a time like this?
Yona Yahav was elected to change the situation in Haifa, so what is going on here?
I liked. The history of the city must be preserved and of course the coexistence that exists in the city.
As a Haifai I am in favor
It's only important to put the Israeli flag up and register a tribute to the State of Israel by participating in the construction of the threshing floor
The mosque should be taken down completely
I thought to Tommy, that the current government is denying the right of return.
So I thought.
Why build what was destroyed? Churches should be built in Haifa and not unnecessary mosques!
The mosque will quickly become a hideout for terrorists who will come to carry out attacks. In the evening the area is crowded with young people and not far away there are student dormitories. The mosque will be a place of organization for the attack and a refuge to which they will flee.
In Bach Clal Massad comes with a muezzin.
Why are they hiding it from the public?
What??????Arbel decided to help the spread of Islam in Haifa???According to Halacha this is forbidden. What an idiot
!!According to the religion it is forbidden
Shame and disgrace to Moshe Arbel, a leftist in the guise of a rightist. Collaborating with Odeh to build a tower that existed before? What exactly is this honor about? Instead of renovating more important things, he chooses to give "coexistence" a gift to Muslims, most of whom do not tolerate Judaism and Christianity.
I am not surprised that Minister Arbel is a graduate of the Wexner program.
Decades ago... until 1948... I wonder what happened 77 years ago when a mosque was destroyed in Mecca...
Why don't you ask me? As a resident I object. The use of loudspeakers on these towers is against state law. There is no shortage of things to invest money in Haifa to improve the lives of the residents. This is not one of them
I protest against the discrimination of Islam in Haifa. We must evacuate the missile building, hang a crescent moon over it, and turn the entire building into the largest mosque in the Middle East. We must pay respect to the winners!
It is possible to build the mosque with the minaret in Khan Yunis... there is a lot of free space there...
Why in Haifa? What now ??
Why?????????
Great, how important it is to preserve the values of this city that allows for a common and respectful existence for members of all religions on their currents and the value of preservation is an inseparable part of that.
To invest money in the right places...
Another mosque for hearing incitement?
to help the spread of Muslims in the lower city. Isn't the German colony enough?
Waste of money in the name of religion! In my opinion…..poor people in Israel must borrow money and leave the country
In a photograph from 1905, a Star of David symbol appears in the round window on the second floor. The symbol has been removed over the years. I hope that during the renovation, to return the minaret to its place, the symbol of the Star of David will also be returned.
And what about the synagogues that were destroyed by the municipality, why aren't they being restored and rebuilt? Insolence and discrimination against Jews. . It's time to fix it. And one hour earlier. And destroy the loudspeakers. Jewish prayer is not done with deafening loudspeakers. Like the Arabs do and on purpose. Five times a day. It is clear to us that you live near a mosque and you are silent. And we, the Jews, pray from the heart and don't listen to us The Koran, by the way, God is not deaf, so get tired of it
