When the Isat family meets, the father Aviv, the mother Anat and the children Lisev (19), Liam (17) and Dean (12) usually talk about football. It's not surprising, when the three children are professional soccer players, running from practice to practice and tournament to tournament. This is not the only thing that sets the family apart. Aviv is a member of a Bedouin family and Anat is Jewish and they have been married for over 20 years and manage to maintain a loving and respectful relationship and have good relations with the extended family as well.
"I am from a Bedouin family," says Aviv, "my father was a scout officer, who fought for the country in the Yom Kippur War. He was injured during the war by a phosphorus projectile that hit the tank he was on, and fell into a pit next to the bodies of Syrian soldiers. He managed to survive the serious injury in the pit, And after two days he died at the age of 53 as a result of his injury in the Kippur war and later the substance caused him to have malignant cancer. I was 26 years old when he died in the Tzur disaster in 82, when the Israeli military government building collapsed. And 91 soldiers were killed."
"I grew up in the village of Ilbon in the Lower Galilee, I finished high school in the village and at the age of 18 I joined the IDF. I served in the IDF in an elite unit, and after finishing my military service I continued in security activities abroad in all kinds of countries in the world. Today I am an independent businessman, engaged in the sale of equipment My safety in the whole world. I met my wife Anat in 2001. She worked in a customs brokerage company, and since then we have been together for 23 years. A mixed and happy family where each side loves the other.
"Our three children are soccer players," Aviv explains, "and therefore our whole family revolves around this thing. Our eldest son, Lisev, 19 years old, who has been playing for Maccabi Haifa since the age of 7, is finishing his second year as captain of the youth team at Maccabi Haifa this year. These days his contract is ending and he is checking options in Israel and abroad. Several teams in Europe are interested in him and he hopes he will find his way abroad."
"We have two other small children, who are also soccer players, Liam, 17, and Dean, 12.
Liam goes up to the youth team next season, a very technical and talented player who plays the role of playmaker and is interested in him in the Premier League from all kinds of teams in Israel. He played last year in Tirat Carmel, second division, and scored 33 goals with his team and the youth team.
Dean, our oldest son, is an amazing kid and a very talented actor. He plays for Maccabi Haifa in the role of striker and right and left wing. Alongside two professional footballer brothers, he was born into football 24/7 at home all day. Dean trains every day together with Lisev, the eldest son, non-stop, he and Lisev get up to train at 5:30 in the morning, before school. I am very satisfied with what they are doing."
It is difficult to combine social life and professional football
"The children have many friends around them who come to our house almost every day. They play ticball (table football) together. My children work hard from a young age to succeed in football, it is part of their life. They come home exhausted after training, and after dinner they watch a little On TV, playing FIFA, then straight to sleep. They hardly ever leave the house at night."
"Our eldest Lisev is a serious boy, very disciplined, works hard without stopping. He really wants to become a professional in football. He plays as a left back, he was the captain of the youth in Maccabi Haifa and he is also a player for the Israeli national team. Now he is supposed to play in an adult team, there He has plans and I hope it will work out for him. Several teams in the Israeli Premier League are interested in him, and he also holds a Romanian passport which helps him.
The one who represents Lisev in football is the well-known player agent Dodo Dahan who is working hard these days in connection with Lisev. We hope for good and successful news in the near future. Lisev attended the Leo Buck school in middle school, and towards the 6th grade he moved to Kfar Galim to the Maccabi Haifa academy. He trains XNUMX times a week and also has a personal trainer."
Our family is around football all day
"Our children live around soccer and sports. All their attention is focused on soccer. On Saturdays when there are games for the children, the whole family gets ready for it. We prepare the day before to arrange who is going to see who. In short, it's an unusual work day, when me and Anat and the extended family run All over the country from game to game.'
"I am proud of my Bedouin origin"
"My Bedouin origin does not bother me or my children. On the contrary, being a Bedouin is a great pride for me, this is how I was born and my parents raised me and gave me very important and good values for my life and future and thanks to them I am successful. My love for the country and the military contribution of me and my extended family is a great contribution , and in my opinion every citizen in our country must contribute and serve in the army.
We all have to bear the burden after the 7th of October that shook us badly. Many of my family members fought in this brutal war, and some did not return home alive. Our destiny is together, Bedouins and Jews alike, we have no other choice, and we have no other country. I hope that Israeli society will accept the partnership of fate between us. Unfortunately, many do not know the alliance of brotherhood and partnership between the Jews and the Bedouin that began before the establishment of the state, continued to this day, and will continue forever."
"I am sure that we will succeed in rehabilitating ourselves quickly and return all the abductees home, and we will start a happy new life, politics is very disruptive to our common life. Each and every one of us must be bereaved and very patient in this challenging time. We must learn to accept the opinion of the other, we must be united Real and social cohesion of Jews and Bedouins, religious and secular, Mizrahi and Ashkenazim, without discrimination."
