Carmel Castle is being renewed: an urban renewal course for city residents

On Tuesday 28/5/24 the first meeting as part of a course on urban renewal took place at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Carmel Castle. The course, opened as part of professional training for apartment owners, is an initiative of the Tirat Carmel Urban Renewal Administration, and will include three additional sessions that will take place during the month of June 2024.

The first meeting

The first meeting dealt with the work of the representative office in evacuation-construction complexes, led by attorney Gabriel Sagi, and was attended by the city engineer, Lena Oster; the director of the Tirat Carmel Urban Renewal Administration, Sigal Gino; the director of the company department in the administration, Omri Geiger; and the director of the planning department in the administration, Her friend Kola.

The field of urban renewal includes many concepts, which the majority of residents and also professionals of one kind or another do not know and do not understand their meaning. Therefore, we created a course designed to clearly and accurately reflect the processes that the city is going through, in order to reduce the question marks and prevent damage to the tenants' rights. We were happy to see the great response from the residents, and we already have a waiting list for the next course.

The following meetings will deal with the introduction to urban renewal (4/6/24, moderator: Adv. Ariel Flavian), economic aspects (9/6/24, moderator: Noam Davol), and legal aspects and tenants' rights (18/6/24, moderator: Adv. Dana Kaniak).
