In the framework of the Carmel Castle Municipality's preparations for the events of LJ B'Omer, it was decided that this year bonfires will be allowed on the day of the holiday, Sunday, 26/5/24. The National Fire and Rescue Authority. Lighting a fire in a place that is not approved for this will result in a fine of NIS 730, and the fire will be removed immediately.
Below is a breakdown of the places approved by the National Fire and Rescue Authority for lighting bonfires and barbecues in Carmel Castle:
- Harduf St.: in front of No. 22-20, behind the basketball court, towards the west
- Hadkal St.: after No. 23-21
- Raziel St., Ben Zvi neighborhood: on the hill towards the base fence
- Hasharion St., Sharet neighborhood: in the area between the soccer field and the parking lot
- 3 Harez St.: behind the containers
- Nof Yam neighborhood: in the area after the rope bridge
Holiday events in the city:
- Chabad's Lag B'Omer procession: Sunday, 26/5/24 at 17:00 p.m. Leaving the shopping center and walking towards the community center. In the program: a guest artist, funny Roikis; each boy and girl will be given a bib, hat and robe, and there will be a raffle with prizes (cost of participation in the raffle only: 15 NIS).
- LJ Ba'Omer celebration with a lion's roar: Sunday, 26/5/24 at 19:00 p.m., the sports field on the corner of Harduf St. In the program: the central lighting in the presence of the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Asher Guetta; a magic show, inflatables for children, food and drink stalls, preparation Potatoes and more.
