Many authorities do not engage in the fight against traffic congestion
The Or Yerok association found that many authorities in Israel do not enforce illegal driving on public transport routes, among them is the local authority of Haifa, which does not have enforcement cameras on public transport routes. This is compared to other cities in Israel that do enforce, such as Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Jerusalem, Herzliya and Ramat Gan.
Attorney Yaniv Yaakov, CEO of the Green Or Association:
The city centers and the roads leading to them are on their way to becoming one big, long traffic jam. This happens because public transportation is inconvenient, inefficient and above all not faster than the private car. In many cities there is no preference for buses over the private car. The result is that everyone stands together in traffic. In many cities that have already taken the required step and there are public transportation routes, there is no enforcement on behalf of the municipality. The quality of life is measured not only in the removal of garbage or in Independence Day celebrations, but also in the shortening of the time it takes to get to work or school by public transportation, and this is also the responsibility of the mayors, they cannot sit on the fence and assign the responsibility only to the police. The Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety must encourage mayors to allocate lanes in favor of buses in order to make the journey in them worthwhile and shorter than the private car. At the same time, urban enforcement should be encouraged as a force multiplier for police enforcement. In this way we will be able to shorten and reduce traffic congestion, reduce air pollution and increase safety on the roads for all of us.
Haifa Municipality's response to non-enforcement:
"In the city of Haifa there are no enforcement cameras on public transportation routes and accordingly, no enforcement is carried out using cameras on these routes."
Improving public transportation is a key to solving many problems in Israeli society
Improving the mass transportation system will contribute first and foremost to the Israeli economy that craves savings and reducing expenses. The economic damage today due to the traffic jams is about NIS 15 billion a year. The cost of traveling by public transportation to the economy is about a third of the cost of a single trip by private transportation and a 1% change in the rate of travel in favor of public transportation in metropolitan areas is estimated at approximately NIS 650 million.
Therefore, investing in improving public transportation is first of all an economic investment that will pay for itself very quickly. We will be able to reduce the huge traffic congestion and save precious time that could be spent at work or at leisure with the family. More trains and more buses from the periphery to the center will shorten the arrival time and reduce the social gaps. One of the effective ways is to pave dedicated lanes for public transportation vehicles and make sure that the same buses and taxis travel in them and shorten the arrival time compared to private vehicles.
Philosophically, from a halachic point of view, it has nothing to do with the public's right to know
This is outrageous
the driver
And as a quality wig leader for wig salons in Haifa, it's sad that there isn't one
This infuriates me, for example A. D. Maneva that Anan went to Kiryat Shmuel on the Tihvaz route and did not receive anything
conclusion
Always buy quality wigs and not something in the supermarket
enforcement? Haifa?
Vehicles park on sidewalks, travel lanes, "stop for a moment" or simply because the closest parking lot to the house requires a 100 meter walk and is not a meter from the house... everything is free. permitted. anarchy.
On the other hand, a vehicle that does not obstruct traffic and does not endanger life while parked in blue and white without pango/slowpark, will receive a report.
What is enforced in Haifa?
Crazy speed? Parking in prohibited places? Opening a business after hours? Disturbing noise? Dirt in entertainment centers? Facility gardens full of dog shit?
If the old-new mayor does not act to enforce, the city in general and the underground in particular will crumble.
Maybe you should start thinking about hiring a private security company for the city of Haifa because there is no law and no justice.
Not on the roads, not in the houses, not in the businesses and not on the streets.
Yaniv, not only public transportation is suffering, which is serious of course! "Normal" travel routes are also blocked by those who "just go to the ATM", "just waiting for my wife for two minutes", "just taking a portion of pepper" or just chatter between two friends that one is standing on the sidewalk... and this is the most annoying!
There is no bypass! No supervision! No driving culture!
Nothing is enforced. I filed a written complaint with a vehicle number about driving in the National Traffic and also against the direction of traffic and they sent me to submit it elsewhere. Every day vehicles turn en masse from Yalga Street to Kishon Street and Bilo Street where such a turn is prohibited and by the way crossing the National Traffic - and there is no exit Here and beeping
