Kabelo, 56, was born and raised in Migdal Ha'Emek and about two years ago he moved to the Gali Carmel neighborhood in Tirat Carmel. He is married, father of three and grandfather of three. Until recently, he served as a senior advisor to the Minister of National Security, and before that as a senior advisor to the Knesset Director General in the field of firearms licensing - a position in which he established, managed and operated a national hotline for assistance in firearms licensing. Kabelo is a highly valued figure in the security system and government ministries. After retiring from the IDF, he held a number of key positions in the Ministry of National Security, including head of the emergency department, head of the firearms licensing and supervision department - national regulator in the field of firearms, and director of the special populations department.
