On 12/5/24 an audit was conducted at the business by the Environmental Health Inspector at the Haifa District Ministry of Health Branch. In this audit, serious deficiencies and a particularly poor sanitary condition were found, all in a way that immediately endangers public health. In view of these findings, the office issues an administrative stop order to the business before a hearing.
Details of the deficiencies in the business observed during the audit:
The sanitary situation in the business is very poor. The three workstations are dirty with food residue and grease, plastic work tools are dirty with dry food residue, and worn plastic tools with holes were found.
At the time of the audit, there was no hot water supply in most of the business taps.
A knife with a broken blade was found. The knife was thrown by the business representative of his own free will.
In terms of infrastructure, holes were observed in the walls in the kitchen, sooty walls, the kitchen ceiling was not complete - steps were missing in the ceiling both in the warehouse and in the kitchen, in a way that allows pests and rodents to enter.
In an operational warehouse in the business, one lamp was precariously connected, the rest of the warehouse was dark.
Food was placed on the floor and not on shelves. The shelves were made of wood or rusted metal and were not clean or usable for a food business according to the regulations.
There was no separation between food and cleaning materials in the warehouses.
Serving bar:
A. One of the showcases was used to store maintenance equipment. Near this equipment storage, the worker cut shawarma.
B. The temperature of salads in the various gourmet servings was measured between 18-25 degrees Celsius, including hummus spread and chopped vegetable salads and not up to 4 degrees Celsius as required.
third. The temperature gauges of many refrigerators are not calibrated, the display temperature in different refrigerators was 8-25 degrees Celsius and in practice temperatures were measured that do not coincide with the display.
d. The refrigerators were broken, greasy, dirty and some had broken, dirty doors and torn rubbers.
God. In the refrigerator were stored 3 half-cooked gourmet chips at a temperature of 35-25 degrees Celsius and shifka peppers.
and. In other refrigerators, residues of fresh and dry food were found in the refrigerators. The temperature of salads in the refrigerators was 12 degrees Celsius.
G. There was no traceability marking for the salads prepared in the business nor for the shawarma skewers that were taken out for thawing. According to the representative of the business, the salads were prepared the same day and the tubers at a temperature of 5°C were taken out to defrost during the weekend.
On the other side of the road, the business has another warehouse with an entrance hall, a freezing room and a cooling/defrosting room.
There was a lot of disorder in the room, a broken ceiling and a lack of separation between food and cleaning products.
The floor was very dirty and smelled foul. Cold rooms had no lighting fixtures. In the thawing room there were pools of blood, rotting vegetables in the gutter and a broken floor.
Seen flying in different areas of the business. According to the representative of the business - pest control was carried out last Friday by the exterminator.
The business operates without a business license. The applicability of this order is immediate. The business must be closed without any activity from the moment this order is received.
Everything is back to normal

This is what happens when the Ministry of Health does not conduct inspections on a regular basis in restaurants and food stalls, there is no supervision, there is no inspection, apparently public health is not important to the Ministry of Health
