(haipo) - Spring is already here, summer is around the corner and in the Carmel boating community in Haifa the preparations for sea and beach activities are already underway. Haifa is unique in the most beautiful and attractive bay in the country, perhaps even the most beautiful in the entire eastern Mediterranean, except perhaps for the bay of Beirut and Junia, but there the neighbors are nothing...
Either way, you are invited, this coming weekend (4/5-5/24) to get to know the community of Haifa sea lovers and participate in fun and unique marine activities.
The Carmel sailors
In Haifa, where mountains and sea kiss each other, we have the magical sea almost all year round. These days, when the fighting has slowed down and the summer heat has begun, in the Carmel boating community, which is unique in the country and is made up entirely of sea lovers working on a full volunteer basis - they have long since started sea and beach activities, most of which are open to the general public.
Friday 3/5/24 • "Kah-Tan" market in Kishon Park
The "Give and Take" market will be held by the community on Friday 03/05/24 in the Kishon Park, in an event open to the general public, during which the boaters will put up replacement equipment, such as they no longer need.
In the market you can find a variety of marine equipment, such as sails, ropes, binoculars, compasses, weather vanes and more, all in a special and nostalgic atmosphere.
To upgrade the atmosphere, the members of the community will operate a huge barbecue, from which those who come will be served "grilled" delicacies alongside chilled beer and other salads, all at a ridiculous cost. It is recommended to arrive at 11:00 in the morning to the park and inhale the seafaring atmosphere.
Saturday /4/5/24 • The last league cruise for the season - in memory of the late Itzik Mamran
The next day, Saturday 4/5/24, the last league cruise for the winter season will be held. The cruise will be dedicated to the memory of the community member, Itzik Mamran, who was killed in a tragic work accident 8 years ago, in 2016.
As every year, the friends and family will meet and raise Itzik's memory, in the place that was his favorite of all - the sea, together with the surfers and boaters.

Later this month, the community will hold a trophy distribution event for the winter league, at an event that will be held at the Haifa cruise, as part of the close cooperation of all the users of the maritime center and the Gulf.
Remember Achi Dekar
At the end of May, the community will hold the annual cruise in memory of Achi Dekar divers, this is the 25th year.
Shared love for the sea
In Haifa there is a maritime activity of sea lovers, despite all the objective difficulties of many users and despite the divided opinions regarding the manner of using the maritime medium.
The population of sailors and sea lovers in Haifa is diverse and includes people from the entire population and of all ages - from six to ninety-six, all of whom enjoy their shared love of the sea and know how to live together while respecting the values of others and nature.
