The war experience from the point of view of the young fans
About six months ago, the "Maccabi Haifa" football club published a national call in which children and teenagers (up to the age of 18) were invited to participate in a short story competition on the topic, "Strong together"/"Strong in green", describing the experiences of the war from the point of view of the club's young fans .
This is how it is written in exclamation:
First and second place winners will receive equal prizes. The State of Israel is going through complex and not simple days, which have a great impact on us as an individual, as a family and as a community.
Precisely in these difficult days, in the shadow of the war, the Maccabi Haifa football club continues to operate and initiate activities in the community and this time a voice calls for a short story out of faith in the power of the written word to strengthen, heal and document our story.
The winning story - "Atar"
As mentioned, the winning story, "Atar" was written by Daniel Moyal (14.8.2023), a XNUMXth grade student at "Rabin" middle school in Kiryat Motzkin.
The story deals with Moyal's childhood experiences at his late grandmother's house, who lived in Kiryat Eliezer (near the old stadium) and was an ardent fan of the Maccabi Haifa football club, and the special bond forged between them due to their mutual admiration for Reuven Atar (the team's star in the 90s).
Moyal told Lahi Fa to the News Corporation:
It is exciting to know that my personal story dealing with the relationship with my late grandfather managed to touch and move many.
The winning letter sent to Moyal from Maccabi Haifa reads:
