(haipo) - Rescue of a woman who tripped and was injured in the Carmel Reserve, today, Tuesday, 23/4/24.
The "Galil-Carmel" rescue unit told Lahi Fe:
A short time ago, Israel Police volunteers from the "Galil-Carmel" rescue unit, in cooperation with an RTG inspector, finished rescuing a 66-year-old lady who was hiking on Mount Shukf in the Carmel Reserve. During the hike, she tripped and injured her ankle.
A team of rescuers friended the injured woman, the unit's doctor gave her initial medical treatment, which included casting her leg in the field, later she was taken on a stretcher out of the field, where an MDA ambulance was waiting for her to the Rambam Hospital.
About the Galil-Carmel rescue unit
This is a rescue unit operating under the Israel Police. The unit is based on volunteers, veterans of combat units, who specialize in navigation, maneuvering, and gliding off cliffs, in tangled and steep areas as well as in rushing waters.
The unit's volunteers respond to distress calls through the Israel Police headquarters and arrive at any time and in all weather conditions to save lives. The unit has capabilities of providing an urgent medical response in the field, until the injured person is evacuated to the hospital.
