(haipo) - A 70-year-old man died after apparently drowning following a cardiac event that occurred while swimming in the Technion pool. The circumstances of the drowning are unclear at this time.
MDA informed Lahi Pa:
At 12:04 a report was received at MDA's 101 center in the Carmel area about a man who was pulled from the water while he was unconscious in a pool in Haifa. After resuscitation efforts, MDA medics and paramedics determined the death of a 70-year-old man.
MDA paramedic Paddy Tantori said:
"We saw the man lying on the pool line unconscious without a pulse and without breathing. We were told that he was taken out of the water while he was unconscious. We immediately started resuscitation operations which included massaging the souls and administering medication, but in the end, unfortunately, we had to determine his death."
